Vertonghen has completely lost it imo-he was fucking WOEFUL today, definite pen, still cant see how Atkinson didn't give that. Gets mugged loads the last while, he MUST know Mahrez is left footed and he gave him all the space in the world to get that shot off-pathetic.

If Bentaleb, (who I think is a proper footballer esp at his age) can be dropped for an awful game so can Verts-wimmer and toby next week please and Trippier and Rose back in.

For the future. Bentaleb is just about ordinary. Eriksen average. Decent dead ball kicker is all. He is not our salvation. Far from it. Chadli. Lazy and I still don't know his position. This isn't a melt no matter how it seems after 3 games. This isn't about 3 games. We have been on ever decreasing circles from 5 years now, our club isn't about glory. It about turning a profit.

Today was the first time I actively chose not to watch us when I could for probably the first time in 8 years because I just knew the insipid shit that would be served up.

It's very disappointing, but I know where most of the blame lies. As do you I suspect.
 
Jan needs to know that by now that crouching thing he does does not work. Did if you have to almost run right into the offense but just backing up makes you look cowardly.
 
Poor first half, started to put some half decent stuff together second half in spite of some of some of our players for 15-20 mins then went quiet again before we scored

We need Danny back and we need 3 behind the striker who help him, I hope its Clint, Alli/Eriksen and Dembele next week, no Lamela please, then at least Chadli can come on if we need something

Jan I am not sure, wouldn't be surprised if was dropped, like Eriksen so talented yet so bloody abject

Nothing really different to last week really, we should be warmer than this considering most of the players played together last season, some signs today but we need a different dimention, hopefully getting Berahino and Clint can give us some speed

The only tackle I remember him putting in today was a stone wall pen.
Verts needs a destroyer centre half beside him imo, hes a ball playing classy player-not sure him and Toby are suited together in the prem despite their past.

Absolutely, the only time he does tackle (or did) was when its last ditch or when he comes in strong when a player first receives the ball outside 18 yard box, he seems unsure of himself in the box now, does not get close or ask enough questions of the forward, poor angle should have showed him outside

As usual how did one header after a kick off lead to a guy running at us in our own area, for 5 mins after you score, we should have 8 behind ball taking it easy for a while, Davies was halfway up the pitch again, fine if 1-0 down but jesus footballers are thick

Yeah that'll have the other teams shitting themselves. The youngsters are on, that's the point, we're the youngest side in the league and looking average.

The hope is they will all come into an amazing prime together in 2-3 years time. The reality is they won't all mature at the same time, as soon as one looks like a star they'll be off. The worse we get, the faster they'll leave. Not like it didn't happen when we were decent so will certainly happen when we're in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 of transition and building projects.

Definitely don't think he lacks intelligence tbh, if he had a 28 year old Vidic or Ledders beside him he would be sweet-not the leader cb I thought he might be after his first season:-/
