Match Leicester away, Saturday 3 PM

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah that'll have the other teams shitting themselves. The youngsters are on, that's the point, we're the youngest side in the league and looking average.

The hope is they will all come into an amazing prime together in 2-3 years time. The reality is they won't all mature at the same time, as soon as one looks like a star they'll be off. The worse we get, the faster they'll leave. Not like it didn't happen when we were decent so will certainly happen when we're in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 of transition and building projects.
Get 'em on. We couldn't be any worse.

Rose in for Davies
Trippier in for Walker (1 good cross in 3 games isn't enough)
Wimmer in for Jan
Alli in for Dier
Clinton in for Lamela

Need to make wholesale changes.

Yeah sad innit. I'd def chuck in Alli and Pritchard given where we are now but it's the damage it might do long term if they're not instantly up to it.
I can't see it doing any more damage than our absurd transfer policy has done already. Come on, we've all seen a pattern emerging. "You do it - no you do it". No one taking responsibility. No pace, no vision, no bollocks. Everyone blames the manager, and these lightweights get away with it because they're not pushed. Poch is too slow to chuck players in IMO.

Haven't been able to read through the entire thread due to being at the game itself, but...

Leicester is an absolute shithole. Even in the sunshine it's crap. It's the most bland, boring, ugly and pointless city in England and probably on a par with Reading in terms of worth visiting i.e. it really isn't. Their ground is about as interesting as the city: a shit, cheap, characterless, one-tiered box. The locals were quite noisy in the stadium but given there is fuck all else to do in Leicester, I guess they try to make the most of 90 minutes once a fortnight for 2/3 of the year. Our support was pretty good but it did get a bit quiet at various stages when they looked to be on top, despite our possession.

I'm amazed at the stats quoted on e.g. chances and shots as I really felt like we were on the back foot for most of the match, and we never really looked like scoring. Our squad is light but it's young. We need some signings and I'm sure something will happen before the end of the transfer window, or else we're fucked. We can pass the ball a little bit, but there's not enough pace, not enough of a cutting edge, not enough creativity, physically we seem (apart from Moussa) to lack strength and get too easily outfought and out-muscled, however much Mason tries to scythe down opponents.

I know it's a young team, early in the season, lacking a few signings etc etc... but if I'd just come out of a coma and someone told me AVB was still in charge, I wouldn't be at all surprised. We're not great to watch. Kane is going to be broken by October at this rate. Quite what is going through Lloris' mind right now is anyone's guess... but he is absolutely immense and deserves better than this.

I think hes a wannabe midfielder in a way tbh-great with the ball at his feet and def a smart guy but I just mean if he had a proper hard tackler partner who he could clean up for and work the ball out he would be better suited to that role.
A Franz Beckenbauer if you will. I see that in him but I just don't think our set up and defence can handle a CB pushing out leaving gaps behind.

Yeah thats what I mean, if he had a beast beside and in front of him we might see that side of him back.
Toby is a good defender but is he that player that can get the best out of Jan? Im not sure on the evidence I've seen-Belgium have flattered to deceive in recent years, although they've rarely played at CB together consistently and the eredivise is not comparable to the prem.

With the ball playing classy player bit. He doesn't do this when he has a decent centre forward roaring up his arse. He also can't defend at this level. As I said the guy has got worse every season - he's not dependable.
Bit harsh imo man, he played out of defence well when we had the likes of Bale there to get the ball to. Scored a few roaring up the middle and from left back a few times first season too-I think he has that in him, hes just stagnated.
Hes def not the top prem CB I thought he was tho tbh/

No, I admit he looked good then, but he had huge sulk when his 'dream move' to Real was stymied. I'm talking about him now - he's not that player now. Anyway we can agree to disagree.

Look I'll be the first to admit I'm Chadli fan - I was with austin spurs down there getting the autopgrahs on the dolphin. I saw his potential in the first season. He can be formidable in the box on set pieces, has a great curler, can distribute sometimes, etc. He fucks up sure, but there are plenty that should be benched before him. I can't believe some of you are still whining about him. Piss on someone else. There are so many choices!

We're fucking limited and that's just how it is right now. You fucking piss heads keep making all sorts of shit up and I really dont understand it. Alli should start, Lamela should fuck off, wimmer for vertonghen, trippier for walker.. i dont know the rest. I know a yank.

I agree man, hes not looked like that player since unfortunately and I don't think Toby is the man to put beside him to get that back:-/
