For me the lesson is that you need to have the right manager and you need players that fit the managers ideas.
A big part of the manager's job is to get the players playing to their maximum potential, something he seems to have ignored.
The fact that so many of his players are underperforming (same goes for Mourinho at Chelsea earlier in the year) reflects very badly on the manager.
