I fear this massive cunt:adethumbup:
If he scores and shows no fucking respect to us ( who I suspect still pay a % of his wages ) then we should all just rush the pitch and deal with him ! Total shit stain & Palace.....what's the point in them ?

Well if we are paying a % then surely he shouldn't be playing????

Cannot understand why when 5 out of 8 ties on TV that a match between 2 premiership teams is not one of them. Still at least it means the match is played when we want it on Sunday

Mostly because it is an all PL tie. The cup is about potential cup upsets and if Palace beat Spurs then it won't constitute an upset by footballing dictionary definition.

I get annoyed when they do put all PL matches on TV as there is plenty of PL football on week in week out.

I'd play a full strength side for this match.

Is there going to be a stream for this match or will it be like last year when I actually had to listen to the commentary on the radio because not a single country in the world televised our fa cup match?

agreed. i understand chelsea v city & shrewsbury v utd being ahead of us for tv.

but an easy home win for Woolwich v hull, bournemouth v everton hmmm.
i guess blackburn v west ham has some upset appeal to it.

According to the following link, it will be shown on TV in some places (such as Australia, Canada, Ireland, Norway, parts of the Southern US and in parts of Asia). So we should be able to get some dodgy virus-filled stream.

By the way, the PL and the FA have really ballsed up their scheduling with possible replays. Considering the rule that FA cup matches can't be scheduled on the same nights as any Champions League or Europa matches (which the FA copped a cool £1.1M fine a few years ago for violating), then this would be the situation if we draw with Palace:
  • 22nd - obviously too soon for a replay
  • 23rd/24th - CL matches on, and still too soon
  • 25th - EL matches on
  • 26th - impossible as we will have played Fiorentina on 25th and Palace will play WBA on 27th
  • 27th/28th - league matches on
  • 29th - impossible as we will have played Swansea on 28th
  • 1st, 2nd - league matches on
  • 3rd - impossible as we will have played WH on 2nd
  • 4th - impossible as we will play Woolwich on 5th
  • 5th/6th - league matches on
  • 7th - impossible as Palace will have played Liverpool on 6th
  • 8th/9th - CL matches on
  • 10th - EL matches on, possibly including us
  • 11th - free unless we've progressed in the Europa
  • 12th - the scheduled start of the 6th round ties!
Something would have to give somewhere, and whatever decision is made would make at least two of us, Palace, the FA, the PL, Sky, BT and UEFA very very unhappy.

There was a bit on ESPN this week about the FA and the PL clubs coming together to fix the cup system in England. Apparently one of the solutions is doing away with replays and ditching the two legged league cup semis. As for this year the most likely solution would be playing our fifth round replay the day of the sixth round games. Now where you put the quarterfinal in this case is an entirely different issue. They have this same issue in four of the eight games. It is a real mess.

As i said before my Europa team would be:

Vorm, Trippier, Dier, Wimmer, Davies, Mason,Benteleb, Lamela, Carroll, Chadli, Son

have since changed my mind and would play Lloris in the Fiorentina game ahead of Vorm.

VS Palace

---------------------------------------Vorm-------------------------------------
Walker---------------Alderweireld----------Davies------------------Rose
-----------------------------------Mason---Benteleb-------------------------
------Lamela----------------------------Alli----------------------Eriksen----
-------------------------------------------Kane--------------------------------

So why do you want to rest Wimmer against Palace?
You rather Alderweireld play his billionth game this season, but rest Wimmer cause he`s played like 4
matches at the least fatigueing position bar keeper.
If anything and we`re gonna be creative, drop Alderweireld and give CCV a go.

I`m guessing Poch still thinks Toby is batman and is perfectly happy for Wimmer to be Robin.

Indeed there's talk of it being considered: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/3558721. Wouldn't be able to come in until 2018-19 at the earliest though, and there'd be big opposition from the Football League and the semi-pro/amateur leagues.

Yep, taking the quarter-final date is pretty much the only option. Then if the delayed QF(s) also need replay(s), then there'd be big issues with the SFs - as they're at Wembley the dates are set in stone and there's a hell of a lot logistically to be organised ahead of them.
