2018 FIFA WORLD CUP RUSSIA 14th June - 15th July

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If you want to believe that these perfectly made up women, pop up in pairs all over the stadium, you go for it mate. They are lovelies, it’s been going on for years. It’s sweet that you think it’s spontaneous, but really.
After drugging the national team, filling each game with Russian model plants like that would be my first action if I worked in the government.

Bet they'll easily cover their cost with the increase in tourism from thirsty men who saw them on TV.
:pochsmirk:

Amazing how Russia (the nation banned from the Olympics because of state. Sponsored doping and drug abuse) suddenly have a football team capable of competing for a world cup semi final place. Despite being shite for decades.

Would it not be nice for a nation of footy lovers to be able to watch all the games together (like virtually every other fucking nation in the world!)? ...I mean, at least rather than awaiting some unlikely degree of success to reluctantly concede a la "if we muuuuust".

"Nah, fuck off to the pub and watch it amongst your ilk; stay out of the public eye, you drunken footy scum... And fuck the kids; it's not an election year and no Olympic legacy to promote so we couldn't give a fuck about whether they get into sports or not.... They're less hassle playing X-box anyway."

....Next breath we'll be faced with the line about Brits being a bunch of pub-dwelling savages that don't now how to behave in large groups.

This fucking country!
I think the feel good factor of 90 and 96 did a lot to remedy the aftermath of the peak 'hooligan culture' but England eventually became so bad that I see why more and more people have up. The FA didn't help with utter shite managerial appointments either.

That and we're a victim of having all our squad play for domestic teams with bitter rivalries (think about the French squad for example - there isn't quite the same thing).

My take: yes, a lot of people are coming out of the woodwork. We should foster that feel good factor though, as you can bet it'll have a great impact on the Euros in two years and so on.

To be fair it's not anything that's important to me. Just thought I'd offer an alternative opinion. Whether I'm convinced of either yours or that take on it I'm not sure. Like I said at the start it's no big deal to me
