There's an awful lot of loose-trousered spinelessness going on.

For fucks sake, we're about to go toe-to-toe with a classic European side in an iconic stadium and all most of you can do is evacuate your bowels over the internet.

Who amongst us remember how appalling his last few months became....he hasn’t changed, we haven't changed.....why would he come back? Why would we want him back? Especially to a team still lacking in key positions...
I'm not saying that Poch should come back, just that he probably will.

I personally wouldn't be opposed to Simone Inzaghi taking over for Conte. Even if Inter fans for some reason don't like him.

He plays a more attacking style of football but uses a similar system (3-5-2) and knows how to play a pressing style. He won them 3 cup titles in a season and a half, and finished second last season and scored the second most goals in Serie A. But that is apparently not good enough for some Inter fans. And did so on a shoe string budget.

I can remember when it was all about the football, not money....

feels game of thrones GIF

I know that's likely the case. Such a shame.

It is and it isn't..... Shame that there isn't more of a progressive, gradual strategy for these lads, but setting them up to fail in a dysfunctional team helps no-one.

Look at Scarlet under Nuno last year. Appalling management, yet if done right, that competition ought to have been perfect for developing young players.

we are not at training so couldn't see if Tanga was better than Sanchez ( having seen Tanga play in other matches I can't believe he was in the team) but if you are going to play Tanga, at least play Royal as RWB to give Tanga a chance
If that's a valid excuse, then a manager can never be questioned for his selection.

Sanchez has done well in his sub roles and Tanganga hasn't been good at all since his pre injury days. It was a crap decision; I don't really need to see training to know that. Sanchez has been completely professional, even though he has seen his time diminish, so I doubt he was dicking around in training or anything.

That said, we were so shit Saturday, Sanchez for Tanganga would have made little difference. But we can still say it was a crap decision.

Poch returning to the job is not a thrilling prospect.
I thought he was after the Real job...

My mate who follows Serie A says we will qualify easily as Milan are terrible and it's basically a bye to the next round. I have tried explaining how shit our defence is and the injury crisis but he is having none of it!
They aren't great, no reason why we can't get a result there. Even a draw is a decent result in Europe away from home and i'll take that. It's nowhere near the Milan teams of past years that's for sure.

Bottom line for me is that if we as fans are going to shit our britches like some damp-knickered Gemima when we come up against a famous team in Europe then, quite simply, we don't deserve to be in the competition.

I think he has an eye out for it as well.

But I think that for both parties, us and Poch, the other is a safe option. He knows that we would welcome him back with open arms.

I fully expect him to be back here one day. I was just expecting it to be once all of his old players are gone.

They should take a look at the team sheet we had the last time we played this fixture:

We had no Bale and Modric could only play as a sub. Gomes, Corluka, Pienaar, Palacios, Sandro (before he was class), that team didn't have much chance on paper but they did it. It's a game of football anything can happen. If we play like we did against City we will win. If we play like we did against Leicester, we won't.

It's like always!
The closer we get to kick-off, the more scared I am that something could go wrong!
The team knows what is at stake - a place among the top eight best teams in Europe beckons - and I believe and hope that we will get at least one point in "San Siero"!

Come on you Spurs!

No I don't want him back either, but, levy knows he will be easier to manage and dump inferior players on.
Jose and Conte, both of whom don't put up with that, but poch will, making him the desirable and probably only option for levy.
This will mean, continued failure on the pitch, but slightly more attacking football, that takes the fans anger away whilst the real work of building more golf courses etc continues.
