These tournaments really suffer when 3rd place teams can qualify from their group. It makes group play incredibly boring.

Ivory Coast is 1-0-2 and now waiting for the results of Zambia and Tanzania/Congo to determine if they finish with more points than a team that played 3 entirely different teams. Makes no sense. Meanwhile, the first place team has almost always clinched qualification before the last game… look at how crap the early round of games was.
 
Zambia 0 - 1 Morocco
Tanzania 0 - 0 Congo

So Morocco and Congo go through

But Zambia (in 3rd place with 2 points) and Tanzania go home

Also Ivory Coast with 3 points in 3rd place goes though, despite their coach being fired !.

Yeah bit too easy to qualify with just 1 win from 3 games, alternatives are probably have an extra 8 shit teams so there's 8 groups and more games or 8 less teams, 4 groups and a lot less games and no Ro16, neither really sound that much better. Quite enjoyed working out all the weird scenarios that could see teams qualify this week tbh haha. Could get a scenario in the next round where if Ivory Coast manage to beat Senegal, they would go through even though they would be 2-0-2 and Senegal would go out with 3-0-1!

Standard of teams is not that high.

So easiest is to only allow qualification to the tournament by 16 teams.

Then its a straight forward knock out tournament !

Qatar were excellent when I watched them tbh. Think they'll go very far. Think they won it last time.

Either team will cause Korea problems. Klinsmann is a nothing coach.
