Was probably pretty tired after getting pressed by Veliz for 86 minutes. The defending is pretty bad but his work rate in all of the goals is really good. Can see Veliz won the ball back just before his 3rd goal too before running 3/4 of the pitch, 91 minutes in while 3 goals up.How bad was that goal from the oppo point of view!
Looks like he's playing the worst team in history.

It’s just wild that we spent 10-12m (20m?) on a kid that does absolutely nothing for us. Never should have spent on him in a million years-he never had a real path to first team football with us. Totally bizarre “club” signing.

Espanyol are atrocious, can’t defend and create the square root of f’all offensively. They’ve had games where they’ve lost 1 nil and not even bothered throwing Veliz on.
What’s concerning however, the only game Veliz performed well in was when he scored 3 against some minnows in the cup. Then against a pub team in the next round which Espanyol lost, Veliz was anonymous. At this moment in time he looks like €15m down the drain, never to be recovered.
He isn't.. the lange era has been a delight.
