You can excuse defeats and bumps in the road if you're seeing genuine progress on the pitch. We can be top 5 in all the metrics we want, but we are 11th in the league, and we see our defence make the same mistakes time after time after time.

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say Liverpool could've run up 10 today if they really wanted to. They missed a lot of big chances and they cut through us time and time and time again. Injuries or not, we are not learning lessons defensively, and there imo is clear evidence that we just aren't being coached in that respect. How many goals have we conceded this year from crosses on our left to two guys unmarked on the right side of our box? There are endemic issues there that are not being fixed. Today as an example. If you have players that physically cannot play a high line as they are too slow and are being constantly exposed, don't play a fucking high line and sit a bit deeper. It's not abandoning your principles, it's being a bit savvy.

I respect that Ange has the way he wants to play, and that the players need to do much more. I'm desperate for it to work with him, I think he's a really likeable guy and I'd love him to have success at the club for a long period. But I don't see it happening. We are 11th halfway through the season, and performances aren't improving. You can only blame bad luck so much.

Any team would struggle without their top 2 center backs and starting goalkeeper. The difference in quality between VDV and Cutí on the one hand and Dragu and Gray on the other hand is quite staggering. For starters, Gray is not a defender. He is a midfielder. He was put there because we have no choice. Secondly, Gray is 18 years old.

Let’s get real. Any club in the PL that uses their backup CB and a fill-in midfielder that happens to be 18 years old against Liverpool would get demolished like we did.

Our GK was not good again today.

What could you expect, realistically?

The midfield was atrocious, but VDV and Cutí are much more likely to be able to clean up their errors.

Ange in, but we need to build real depth.

He's definitely not going to be here come next August. If he manages to fluke a trophy I still think he leaves plus we shouldn't take that as a sign things will improve... Ramos won league cup but was shocking the following season.

Today? Prime Chielini/Bonucci duo would maybe prevent 1 goal and thats it. Defence block was terribly exposed by absolutely non-existent midfield.

Anyone defending him after today is an embarrassment..no matter what reasons or excuses he or anyone else can come up with ...we lost 6-3 at home.
No matter who it was against or how many injuries we have, we should never loose like that at home, never ..its bullhit and he I way out of his depth

Vanessa Feltz and Felicity Kendall are the only two people I can think of who have not had a go at managing us . I’m all in on Felicity Kendall , fancied her in the Good Life . Seems as good a reason as most of Levy’s hires.

Today is not the time to discus this. We have beaten Liverpool only twice in 24 games. That is over 10 years including Poch, Mourinho & Conte. In fact 1 of those victories was by Ange. We were beaten by the best team in the country at the present time. Many of the team are injured with others knackered after a big match last Thursday. MU who do not have our injury problems and rested some on Thursday lost 3-0 at home to Bournemouth, a far worse result.
There have been worse results this season against lesser teams with a stronger team. We did score 3 goals and I doubt anyone else has done that against Liverpool this season. The crowd were still with him near the end and from what I could see on TV there were not mass walk outs like we have seen from opposition supporters when we have taken other teams apart.
Ange may end up going but he should not be dismissed on this result
