Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

/// Is it the managers fault Werner misses 19 out of 20 chances in the final third?

it is if he (specifically) wants him & keeps renewing his loan deal$
not cheap - 150K quids

others have been promptly shipped out.

My betting instinct says -he wont be here after this season

Experienced Champions League winner. Profession, hard working. Always puts in a shift and gets balls into the box.

I suspect he will finish this season with 10+ assists, and 5+ goals. Which is decent return for a player that will likely play 1/4 of available minutes.

We were winning a few games before Brighton and Palace lost and people said we played shit teams.

We won against Citeh and people said we it's the League Cup, teams wouldn't take it seriously so they field second stringers.

If we fielded a weaker team with Davies, Foster and Bergvall etc, Ange will be deemed arrogant

Lolmao. The state with some of you, seriously. Why bother with this sport honestly, or this team 🤣🤣🤣

Fucking well said.

It's a very small minority, but they exist. Those that want the manager ( be it Ange or someone else ), to fail just to prove a point. It defies logic.

A good manager will make use of the circumstances and players around him and improve them. I don’t see that at Spurs right now. So to come back to what you said initially, is Postecoglou the best manager out there able to get the best out of our squad right now? Chances are there’s someone better out there.

Except Conte.... right? Who bitched and complained about the circumstances around him like a baby and whom many seem to give a pass to because his circumstances weren't perfect.

I really thought we would finish 4th last year and be challenging the top 3 this season. Wrong on both counts.

Recently I thought we would beat Palace and kick on. The fact we didn’t turn up at all worries me.
Unless Solanke finds his shooting boots I don’t think we make top 4.
If VDV is out for a while again that’s also going to be a problem as his pace does get us out of jail. Romero switching off as much as he does is not a situation that gives me much hope either.

At this moment in time I’m much more hopeful of cup competitions than the league.

So I think we will finish with less points in the league but get to the EL semis at least. I don’t see us winning the carabao if we play Liverpool at any point.

Its certainly a weird one.... a different result on Saturday and we are right in it.

For me it was the first time this season I had seen no spark from us for an entire match. It's bound to happen at some point - it does for every team and expecting a stellar performance and result every single game is a bit over the top - but we have dropped points already where we shouldn't have so this leaves a real bitter taste.

The only thing that makes me think we are still in the hunt for a CL place is others' form and inconsistency too.

Biggest issue is clearly our away form

Leicester 1-1
Newcastle 2-1
Brighton 3-2
Palace 1-0

To get top 4 you beat Leicester and palace and get draws at Newcastle and Brighton. That's 7 points more than we have accumulated.

Now we need big away wins against our top 6 rivals to get back on track while maintaining expected results.

Easier said than done.

Liverpool, City too.. both started multiple youth players and reserves.

But don’t say this, because facts being stated is wrong and we all have to pretend everyone takes this competition super duper serious (literally every elite coach says it shouldn’t exist) or feelings will be hurt.

This is just such a lazy narrative.

Dias, Lewis, Nunes, Savio, Foden, Gundoan, Stones have all started in the prem for City in their last two games. Calling any of those reserves is just your way of bashing our performance. That's 7 of the starting 11 who are first-team-ready players and utilised as such by City.

I didn’t want this coach appointed, don’t have any faith or particularly stand by him in any way and won’t lie to myself or others whilst the man is here.

I just want you to know this.

Whomever EVENTUALLY replaces Ange, I hope that it's someone that upsets you so much, you never post on here again.

Alternatively, if it's someone who you actually want, I am going to spend every waking moment on here slagging him off and being utterly obnoxious and vile, like you have been, until you eventually get so irritated you...DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT.

It’s a very tight league. Again.

Last season after 10 games 5 teams had more than 22 points. Which definitely won’t be the case this season.
But the flip side is we are below forest and closer to 16th than 1st place so the teams 5-15th are all quite capable of taking points off each other.
I don’t think we can get close to top 4. But maybe 5th could be our get out of jail card this season.

The points dropped to Brighton Newcastle and palace and Leicester don’t bode well when we still have to go to all of the current top 5
How many points do you think we will get out of those possible 18? Personally I think maybe 2-4points.
I’d say at least 3 losses from those 6 games.
On top of the current 4. That’s not top 4 material.

Hopefully he fixes the issues we have and things improve.

The positive thing is on our day we can beat anyone. Which is what the Spurs of old were always about.

Funnily enough these are the days all the “we must win a trophy” boys on here love to reference. Mid table inconsistency with a cup thrown in every few years. Maybe Ange is right. He just needs to win a trophy.

EL qualification should be the aim and if it's achieved then it's a good season. The team is not yet consistent or good enough to be top 4 or 5. The team is in the growing phase, they need patience and support.

But i think 3 of the 5 will also drop points when going to the others so our ability to catch them will be linked to the other games we play.

Have said it before - our form against the top 4 last season wasn't really why we didn't finish in the top 4.

Had we beaten Wolves one of the two times we played them or even drawn both, we would have finished above Villa.
