Who green light the purchase of Gray and Bergvall combined fee 60 million? Who claimed they were first team ready your man. Spence wow the Djed Spence dilemma Ange gave interviews when we INCREASED his contract praising him and then did what. After the player spared his blushes at Coventry

. As for Reguilon I was here when posters were fearful Real Madrid would exercise their buyback option on him. Where were you man? These mitigations you raise are making the head coach more culpable. His squad management has been woeful and is part of why I have zero trust left in him. If you are paying a player even if they are not part of your longer term plans USE them. They are club assets, if only to protect Porro Udogie and VDV. Do you understand you are digging him a bigger hole?

And let's be clear, I never said anything about Levy setting anyone targets that's your own fevered imagining. Try to address what has be written. I think THIS squad is under performing, it's mean. This isn't corrected by wins in Manchester.

Lol - Gray and Bergvall were bought for the future.

Postecoglou wanted Eze and Gallgher for the NOW.

Your own posting history proves that you knew the squad was weak after summer.

Just be honest . It's not that hard. It's okay to not rate Postecoglou without pretending you think Levy has built a great squad. Especially when you've written multiple times that you think the squad is weak.

I didn’t think we’d sack him if we lost the next two but now I’m thinking about the context and shit show that is West Ham. They are terrible yet we are only 5 points ahead of them, although we’ve played one less game.

I mean, that is fucking terrible. Lose the next two tricky fixtures and we will be properly mid table. Even my pre season prediction of eighth might be optimistic.

His only saving grace is us still being in the cups. But that didn’t save Mourinho.

Using points as a barometer particularly this season is pretty pointless, 2 b2b wins can take you from the bottom half to in or around the top 4 so saying West Ham are 'only' 5 points behind us is moot, as I said yesterday we're 'only' 5 points behind Woolwich, West Ham are unlikely to catch us up as much as we're unlikely to catch Woolwich.

Table is tight this season - I don't think fans are recognising that - Villa and Newcastle fans screaming for their manager to go just because they're in the bottom half of an uber competitive league when one win can put either team in the top 6, it's going to be as volatile as this in the first half of the season particularly and then the teams with the best resources normally start putting together a run and widening the gap to the teams punching above their weight, that's what normally happens.

Phomesy Phomesy don't fucking call me a liar. I don't tell lies to zeros on football forums. Unlike you I have met Ange Postecoglou and I genuinely like him. I've said repeatedly he is one of only three Spurs managers I've 'liked' personally in my many years supporting the club. As for this new tactic of blame the squad their his squad, this is NOT mitigation. The squad is way better than the shit show we have seen. I think it's easily good enough to get 5/4. It's like a your a complete cultist. You can't hear any critique it's all "WE LOVE THE LEADER"!

Bollocks we were told by club mouth pieces that GRAY and BERGVALL were ready NOW and Ange was so impressed by them I training. You are the one lying. The squad is good enough to compete Ange isn't deal with it.

Don't get angry with me because Sudoku posted your own words back at you. 🤷‍♂️

Also - I'm not 100% on Postecoglou so the "Cultist" deflection won't work on me.

You’ve gone mad.

Don’t use points as a barometer?? You realise you get points for winning games don’t you?

You’ve literally just said don’t use winning games as a barometer.

Ange in 3 weeks.

“What do wins give you Daniel - points? Come on mate. We don’t need points. That fugazi!! We need to concentrate less on winning games and more on um our resources??”

:ange-clap::ange-clap::ange-clap:

Don’t use wins as a barometer. Brilliant. I don’t think that motto has ever kept a football manager in a job.

That stupid Liverpool side. Building up all these points for no reason. Idiots.

Depends if you've flat out refused to read my entire post and the conversation in context or you've just read a few words and had a meltdown, seems like the latter so :ange-facepalm2:

You don't understand how it works do you? lol. If you have a name in you common use it substitutes thinking it's doing you a favour. Now, do you have any actual contribution about your new found passion association football and Spur in particular? No... thought not.

I know your new but Admin Admin don't allow the kind of diversion you are hiding behind dont address me off topic again. It's not what we do. Or you go on ignore.
Can anyone decipher this post for me?

By the way I want each and everyone of these Aussie newbies to understand one thing. When Ange is fired .....you don't get to leave. Your soul remains here trapped in Spurs purgatory for all eternity. There's no mooching off and turning up at Panathaniakos when he gets his next job. Your in and you stay in!!

Not an Aussie, but I agree.

BTW Panathinaikos is actually based a bit far from Australia. A few of its players appeared in Wembley recently with a team that has once won a Euro.

I don't understand why though. It didn't stop fans turning on better coaches sooner.

Matt1882 Matt1882 yes you do Mat. Because oddly despite the attempt to gaslight the fanbase that he's being hard done by because he is an Australian. I think it's actually helped him. The novelty cultural affinity with Australia the whole gruff bonhomie shtick, these issues have protected the bloke. It made ME want to protect him. In person he's charming.

The thing his devotees ( not the clueless newbies) actuall football fans can't do is answer the real questions. The game management, lack of periodisation, complete lack of control, the obvious naivety.
It think it's actually more about him not being ex-chelsea tbh

I'd really like to see Lankshear having more minutes than he has been getting.

All these youngster have been reportedly getting rave reviews from training and are raring to go. So why aren’t they being played?

Obviously because it’s just bollocks and they aren’t ready. So why spend the cash? Ultimately Ange will pay the price for the results - influenced by the option she has available to him.

Don’t get me started on Moore - he’s just a kid but was touted as the next best thing, and he and Lankshear were clearly too good for U21 football. But is he injured? Unwell? Exams? Up too late?

Something happened that “isn’t serious” according to Ange. So where the fuck is he? And if we can’t actually use and develop him, what’s the plan then?

We need to talk about the squad more, though I agree with much of what you've said about Ange.

Look at our squad c. 2018 vs. now and the drop off in quality is massive. The ones who stand out as being of amazing quality are an old Sonny, VDV, who I think has a very high ceiling but might be an injury risk, and Kulu, who can be very good on his day. Everyone else is streaky, young, or flawed. Solanke is adding something but he's no Kane obviously.

The decline in quality of the playing squad is the main problem and that's due to leadership and management on the football side of our operation. Ange has his flaws but is a symptom not the cause and is secondary to this.
Happy to talk to an actual Spurs fan. So here's the bit I think missed on the relative decline in the squad. The Kane era was going to end and Solanke or anyone wasn't going to be a direct replacement. But we haven't struggled for goals so that's not where the deficit is. Likewise we have not shipped lots goals so it can't be the Emerson Royal Eric Dire scapegoat.

So where are we fallinng short we can't just say 2018 we were great, now we are pants. Because things change. Man City are not what they were so that's changed, nothing is static. We have always been four first team players short under Levy it didn't prevent Harry Redknapp, Mauricio Pochettino, if you look at that 2018 squad it had plenty of junk and holes.

Imho I think our biggest deficit right now is the entire coaching set up. From Ange to Jedinak they have under performed. This can be true Hampshire Spur Hampshire Spur and the squad can still be short.

We know mate that's where Ange will be next he has said himself wants to live in Greece. Lol and his stalkers will be with him in spirt white knights to a man defending better than his teams on PFC forum.
