Do you think that's a good thing for the club?

I don't.

I saw the post-match press conference and I heard him say the opposite. He said that he could have fought to keep Kane (for one year) but that wasn't the right decision. He also said some very interesting things. If you didn't watch it I think you should do it now.
I don't think appointing any manager based on their performance in the SPL is a good idea full stop. I was just making the point Gerrard's achievement with Rangers is more impressive than Anges with Celtic given the context of Celtics huge dominance of Scottish football. I absolutely would not consider Gerrard a worthy appointment either.

I'm fed up of footballers doing their talking off the pitch and that goes for managers too. I'm more interested in the on field performances and decisions and right now it's just not good enough. I don't pay 900 a year for a seat at press conferences.

I'm not saying sack him, I'm just fed up of hearing about his time at Celtic as if it's an astonishing success story against the odds. The odds are very much stacked in Celtics favour every year.

Not a huge fan of him but it’s a fairly interesting watch

He skirts around the issues of the last transfer window which is unusual for him

He is a mouth piece and just makes excuses. Takes forever to get his point across. One big the most boring you tubers ever. “Hello” pause 5 minutes “it’s alistair gold here…”. He ain’t gonna stick the boot into Ange or question his player choices, subs, etc never mind have a go at the club.

Bang on. Yet you have so many Spurs fans willing to put their faith in him, for no reason.

The more worrying aspect in all this isn't Ange, he'll be gone soon. It's the powers that be at Spurs who decided to appoint Ange. Why did they go for him? Because he was an easy hire and available and cheap is my assumption, and yes he played attacking football.

There was no way Ange was on the original list that the club drew up when Conte left. I seriously can't believe the club decided Ange, a 60 year old aussie who only won in backwater leagues, was the man to take us to glory. That we even considered a manager who is managing in Scotland is shocking.

What a disastrous decision.

You really are a bit of a cunt aren’t you??

What the fuck happened to you as a child to make you this bitter??

Young guy whose career ruined by an injury that could have killed him. Proper Spurs.

And you come up with shit??

And yes. He’s got his pro license.

Sort yourself out. Bitter people like you make me fucking sick.
I’m saying what qualities as a coach does he bring? Lots on here have said similar things. Ok let him take over when gets the sack first he’ll do is bring back winks😀

Watch it , he does exactly that regarding the club

I posted where it was on another post

40 mins 50 sec

If Ange goes in Dec/Jan (although I doubt it will happen), no harm in giving Potter (no compo - Daniel would like that), a short term contract until the summer, whilst the club look for a longer term candidate to come in during the summer.

If Potter gets us top 4 or a cup + top 6, might consider giving him a longer contract in the summer.
He'd probably tell "Daniel" to go fuck himself

Yeah unless results are catastrophic I can’t see us sacking him either.
This is the problem we have now.I feel the players have already made their minds up that he’s a goner.whether it’s in the next few weeks or the next month or two,it’s literally anendless cycle. Then they end up putting Mason in charge rinse and repeat.

After his honeymoon period last season ended with that catastrophic loss to the Chavs I don’t think that the players ever regained confidence in him

Even the second half of last season I don’t the players were on it

Hardly any were busting a gut to run back after losing possession to get it back again and they were at it again against Bournemouth

Udogie
Johnson and even Bergval I

I noticed were just trotting back when we had lost possession and B’mouth were attacking our area!

When the Dippers for example lose possession they swarm around like angry hornets until they get it back

Not good enough and that’s mainly down to the coach

Imagine Klopp putting up with that?

It’s easy to jump to conclusions, but I look at the body language of the players and to me they look demotivated and detached from what there being asked to do.

You watch other premiership teams like Liverpool like you said and the way they play, and you’re thinking why don’t we do that ?

Watching Fulham against Woolwich and they are, not seem, they are a much better coached side than us.

This isn't unusual either, Bournemouth are the same. Brighton, loads of other midtable clubs let alone the top 4, look much better than us.

That is all on Ange. They don't have better players than us.

So all this talk about backing him is just delusiona, denial etc

He simply is massively out of his depth. The lack of coaching and organisation on the pitch is plain to see.

There is no context to what he did at Celtic. Every manager does the same. It’s strange how his record there seems to be used as a badge of honour but no so for Brent or Neil Lennon or anyone of the other managers who have won a hatful of trophies there. His ‘achievements’ there the media make out as if it was some sort of spectacular thing!
That’s untrue though.
When Ange joined Celtic they had lost the league title the preceding year to Rangers under Giovanni Van Bronckorst. They had also lost the core of that team to transfers. Celtic had been courting Eddie Howe who turned them down at the eleventh hour.
Ange Postecoglou came in late to a team that was decimated and had won nothing the previous year.
Rangers were reigning champions and settled.
Ange put together a team in short order that went on to reclaim their crown as League Champion's as well as winning the League Cup.
He was subsequently voted Manager of the year not only for the lightening fast turnaround in Celtics fortunes but also for the style of play he insisted upon , which was very attack minded and cavalier in style.

Ah ok cool, this is different from the original post.

I’d agree with you, I think there are large portions who do like him, and are still behind him, and of course he has a set of fans from Australia who follow his career but didn’t support Spurs before now, so he definitely has backing.

I only questioned it at first when you said many felt he was the best manager Spurs have had, which would be utterly ridiculous and demonstrably not true. I get what you were saying from your second post though.
Thanks, I really didn't express it very well that first go.

Not sure fireproof is the right description , if we lose to Chelsea badly then every option is on the table . You forget it's Levy we're talking about , the guy has a light trigger finger when he thinks things aren't going well , don't forget what he done to Jol or the timing when he sacked Mourinho , plus numerous others that have got the gun .
I like Ange and I understand what he's trying to achieve and would definitely give him this season , get his main men back and then see what happens , but when the industry has a history of very little patience and very few are prepared to give things time , seeing him sacked would not surprise me , but I support Spurs so I'll just move on to the next fall guy and hope that he's the one with the winning ticket . Not holding my breath .
History bears your point out, but I think Levy has probably enjoyed having a manager the fans are behind. The comical part is if Postecoglou doesn't do well it seems like fans will blame Levy first, then the players, then the training staff, then the workers in the training ground lunch room, then Postecoglou. As for the Chelsea game, the opposite of your point is also true, if Spurs win it will let a lot of air out of the "Fire Ange" balloon.
