I don't think appointing any manager based on their performance in the SPL is a good idea full stop. I was just making the point Gerrard's achievement with Rangers is more impressive than Anges with Celtic given the context of Celtics huge dominance of Scottish football. I absolutely would not consider Gerrard a worthy appointment either.Do you think that's a good thing for the club?
I don't.
I saw the post-match press conference and I heard him say the opposite. He said that he could have fought to keep Kane (for one year) but that wasn't the right decision. He also said some very interesting things. If you didn't watch it I think you should do it now.
I'm fed up of footballers doing their talking off the pitch and that goes for managers too. I'm more interested in the on field performances and decisions and right now it's just not good enough. I don't pay 900 a year for a seat at press conferences.
I'm not saying sack him, I'm just fed up of hearing about his time at Celtic as if it's an astonishing success story against the odds. The odds are very much stacked in Celtics favour every year.
