Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So you don't know what is out there and what is better then, it's fine the question isn't for you, no worries.
It's not my job to know who is available, or pick the next manager. If it was up to the fans we'd never have hired Poch back in 2014 or whenever it was.

The fact you keep trying to make this a gotcha about who we should hire isn't exactly the resounding defence of Ange you think it is

No quite, I asked the question and you responded to it therefore it's my point, not yours.

You have every right to want this manager gone but the fact that you or anyone else cannot name a manager to replace him now tells you everything, you think we're a laughing stock now you just wait until we sack him and have your choice Ryan Mason in until May...like what is the point of that?

Where did I say I wanted Ryan mason?
Behave yourself. I’d take a competent championship manager over this obnoxious fool.

Just watched his usual sniggering condescending post match interview too. I can’t stand the sight of him anymore

Ange in 100%

I don't care if we end up trophyless and in midtable by the end of the season

This club needs a proper shake up in the boardroom, not on the pitch

I'm prepared to back the manager and the players through these difficult times.

All the Ange haters are fully entitled to feel as they do and demand a change. It is what it is.

I couldn’t watch it so I’m in the kitchen cooking a lamb tagine

Did he say anything different from the usual crap?

You guys dreaming of trophies will never be happy. We are not in a position to win anything, and will not be getting into such a position anytime soon. With or without Postecoglou.

We were getting there, a while back. When Poch was doing his magic. Until people started demanding silverware, instead of letting the club build stone by stone.

Now we are in a position where we need to re-build. Kane is out. Son is done. We have renewed most of the team over the last two-three seasons, and we need to keep building. We are a few pieces from a good enough squad still.

Some of your criticise spending money on youth. I completely disagree. That is the way to build something. Get the great prospects in. And give them opportunities to play.

We all know how Bale did in his early days. Modric needed time. Most players do. Let's treat this as a season of transition. There might be more.

But while in transition, give the team support. Help build, instead of tearing it down while under construction.

Is Ange our guy? To me, he's got a lot of things right.

I love that he's playing attacking football. Football is entertainment. Football should be fun. With a Mourinho or Conte it is barely fun when we win. With Ange games are entertaining even when we lose. To dare is to do.

I love that he sticks to plan A, and to the idea that if plan A fails you do plan A better. If Poch did that, we could've actually gotten somewhere. Instead he started being pragmatic, which turned our football from being awesome entertainment and dominant against mid and bottom table teams to becoming somewhat efficient against better sides but slow and inefficient against weaker teams.

I like what he's doing. Give him time!

Dude it's not a job lol, it's not that serious, merely a debate - we're on a forum discussing the manager and potentially the next one.

It's not really a gotcha, if you can't answer the question then fine, ultimately my point is that I want to get people to think rationally because sacking the manager is easy...replace him though...

There's more attention at Spurs compared to Bournemouth which puts the manager under more pressure that they have to handle. It makes the job a lot harder than Bournemouth.

Ange is under pressure and I think he even admitted to feeling it. I don't think fans would be content with top 6 either.
And there’s more attention on spurs than at Southampton didn’t stop Poch from making an instant impact.

To think no manager can do better than ange is just insane.

Tell me a viable alternative who will come in right now unless you want Ryan Mason ball, tell me how would be any less of a laughing stock with him in charge...again

I hate to break it ti you but we've been a 'banter club' for years.

There has to be some caretaker option who can come in and steady a ship for Iraola. Someone who can get us in to the top 8 at least or something man, if we're anything like this over the next 4-5 games we'll be marooned in the bottom half of the table FFS.

I'd take a Terzic too at this point.

61,439 punters turned up and only a tiny few are unhappy with Ange-ball.
They stayed and sang until the end.
We have 3 cups to go for and many EPL games against teams that ain't the best in the world.
It's gonna be a fun ride for 95%+ of fans, and, as for the other less than 5%-fuck ''em!

Ange's dumb tactics have also cost Micky multiple injuries. He was so crucial in covering up Ange's tactical flaws, but it really took a toll on him. Without the fastest player in the league as your last man, Angeball doesn't seem to be that effective.. LOL

This is the problem, not many people do either.
I don't know what the process is when a club decides a manager, but it looks like the success of a manager is mostly just down to luck.

I said I like Silva but there could be some external circumstances that would cause him to fail here.

You mentioned Irola but he nearly got sacked early on. If he got unlucky and lost the game when his job was on the line he could've been another De Boer.

I think we're just going to have go back to our seats and buckle the seat belts until we get through the turbulence.
Through? We are the turbulence, my friend!

This isn't going to suddenly stop when Yang comes in and VDV is sprinting about again. It doesn't stop when we have another summer window where we get a Lange-forged mish-mash of a high quality player and a Kentucky bargain bucket brigade of prospects. This is the Premier League, this is what Ange is, this is who we are, and I have seen nothing since those first 10 games to suggest otherwise. A chaotic entertaining whirlwind but close to bugger all chance of cigars.

He's had time and we've been getting progressively worse for 12 months. Sometimes you can see things happening and a manager earns that extra time, there is nothing happening under this clown other than increasingly regular humiliations.

And this is the reason we go nowhere as a club don't always blame levy blame the fans for falling for the crap every time. Worst manager in 15 years and somehow we want him to stay where was conte support or Jose he'll even nuno was better

You didn't but you're refusing to name anyone so I just thought I'd throw it at you.

You'd want a competent Championship manager, what does that look like? Would you sack Ange for Michael Carrick or Daniel Farke or Scotty Parker right now then, what do you think they're doing differently at the moment? What makes you think they can go from managing every 7 days in the Championship to taking over a club with high expectations, playing every 3 days, already wedded to a style of play with a host of injuries managing a club under this regime? Why do you think it's that easy? What makes you think you can just copy and paste someone into the role without any other teething problems?

Did you take any of that into consideration? ^
