Call me crazy but I have a strange feeling this guy is going to end the trophy drought! :ange-arms:

I didn't see that. What did he say? I can't find anything obvious via google searches.

All I found was this:

"Ryan Mason claims Daniel Levy has been 'let down' by others as the Tottenham chairman faces fan protests... and insists the club were in a 'false position' under Antonio Conte"

Hardly scathing, and clearly he's on both side of the fence, at least.

But to answer your question, any number of ways.

He's influential with the first team (he's one of the boys, and also a temp manager).
He's friends with many of the players off the pitch.
He's got the ear of Levy and numerous managers since he arrived.
He's going to be bumping into everyone at some point in the kitchen.

Anyway, like I said, I like the guy. I'm not looking for ways to bash him, just leaving my expectations where they are until we figure out what the problem is. I'm an engineer and you find causes of problems by changing one thing at a time. Mason hasn't been changed for a while.
To be fair to him I think he's a pretty decent coach.

Just in the short games he had this season he altered a few things, tried Kulu centrally, noticed how right now Porro was decent going forward but struggled at RB so pushed him further up.
Also tried Royal at RCB.

these are things us fans see. But sometimes coaches to stubborn to change it.

And aside from Kane I don't think he is mates with particularly anyone. He dropped Dier which most wanted.

He's only been 1st team coach under Conte too, and was Pretty animated at times with Contes and Stellinis decisions. Suggesting he gets what it's like to be spurs.

I do get your point though that it could be emotionally led, but I think he's a genuinely good coach and is determined to prove it.

His comments were along the lines that everyone has to be on the same page and have a clear idea of what the identity of the club should be and that he is hoping that this is the case moving forward. Implying that this has not been the case until now. As an employee of an organization, I think that this is as far as you could go in criticizing your employer. And some employers may see even this as crossing the line.

I think he really wants Spurs to be successful and have a strong identity that is aligned with what the playing philosophy has been historically. I see no reason for him to try and undermine a manager that is going to bring back this philosophy.

Another constant is also Levy and some members of the board. Their relative importance and power is much greater than that of Mason, so I would focus on them first before Mase. As an engineer, you should also know that a perfectly good component may not be performing well because another component is badly designed. You fix the faulty component and all of a sudden the one you thought was the issue is not the issue anymore.

Where do you get this bullshit from, pep did not tell celtic to hire him that's a fantasy you made up.
Pep said he set up his team well when city played against his aussie or Japanese team, that's it...you should read what your typing before you post, fucking pep giving a shit about celtic is laughable

He is only 31. The smart move for him is to stay at spurs as a coach for a few more seasons , he can learn under older experienced coaches,
If he went down the leagues now and got a gig at a league two club for example It is a whole other world in terms on finances and day to day struggles , he could be fired within a year and that’s career over .
Best to stay put methinks .

Mate, your position is unreasonable.

"Parasite" is a common word. It was not used by nigel6305 in an anti-Semitic manner at all. There's plenty of ammo in here to argue with him on but this one is unfair. To call someone an anti-Semite which is what you are essentially doing, you'd need to be on much more solid ground than this.
For this to come from somebody NOT on the Levy out side of the debate deserves huge applause and massive respect.

The Cryptkeeper The Cryptkeeper , well done for standing up and calling it out.

I see people are wondering about what type of wingers Postecoglu will be wanting to sign or style the will be expected to play. The style is very much cutting inside central, providing cut backs a specifically ghosting in at the back post for the finish. Here you can see what is expected of wingers in a Postecoglu side by the goals this season of Celtic's wingers Jota and Liel Abada, all very similar. It may help understand the role Maddison would be expected to play. You can see why he would want him. Wingers are absolutely key to the system

What he wants and what he will get are two completely different things.

Hope Ange does well and gets us playing again.

Was speaking to a Gooner at work the other night. He asked we what I thought about Ange Postecoglou. He shook his head the whole time while I was answering.

Are we mad. Cos I sounded mad when I was telling him.

Fucking Gooners shit, cringe and bottle jobs. Finish 2nd in a one horse race and act like they have achieved something.
