Celtic fan here and as much as it pains me to say it, you have landed an absolute top coach and manager. He arrived in Scotland on his own and everyone was saying who the fook is this guy? When he arrived we were in an absolute mess, had lost the league by 25 points and lost our best players like Édouard and Ajer. After a sticky start we started racking up the wins as the players got used to and adapt to his style. What you can expect is a 4-3-3 with three dynamic central midfielders who are all box to box, I doubt he will go for a player that simply is a water carrier although this may be required in the EPL. He plays with inverted full backs and two of the midfield three offen drift wide with the wingers pushing more central. Expect your wingers to score a lot of goals by drifting in to the back post. He also defends from the front. The striker is expected to press defender and goal keeps at all times. This may also have to change if Kane is still at the club. He absolutely does not accept playing long ball football, even from at the back. This can lead to some hairy moments as all of the back four are expected to play the ball out from the back even in the tightest areas
Every player will get a clean slate but if they do not buy into his style or simply can't, they will be shown the door. They also have to run themselves into the ground, this will undoubtedly lead to some snapped hamstrings in the first six months, this I can guarantee. His We Never Stop mantra is very much true. It's a demand players run themselves into the ground
He's is incredibly passionate and a true leader. He also has a fantastic eye for a player, the first two player he tried to sign for Celtic were Kyogo Furahashi and Kaoru Mitoma although Mitoma chose Brighton. He isn't interested in players just because of their name, they must be able to play and buy into his system and also be a good fit for the squad. The central defenders have to be able to pass the ball well.
I think it's a great appointment but you must give him time as it will take time for the players to adjust, especially after playing under Mourinho and Conte. It will be interesting to see Angeball in the EPL. One thing for sure is you won't see boring football
PS don't dare think about taking Kyogo as well
