Weve got quite a promising squad now. My worry is Ange destroys them all with his brand of headless chicken chasing that their careers are shortened.

Jeez. You'd think by this forum that Ange was the only coach in the history of football that asked his players to run and press the opposition.

The issues with our medical / recovery departments were identified and we got rid of most of the medical staff last summer, including the head physio. It would seem that this has led to a bit of a disaster, but hopefully we end up in a batter place that where we started by this summer.

Sounds familiar. The only difference this time round is we don't have a world class XI.

Tottenham beat Crystal Palace on Saturday but their injury list is growing. Mauricio Pochettino's philosophy puts huge physical demands on his players and it is crucial to their success. But it is proving a problem for a small squad being tested to its limit, writes Adam Bate.

I think we'll just have to see what the injury rate looks like next season. I can't imagine it being this bad, but if it is still problematic it raises the question of whether Ange Ball can be maintained over the long run. The irony is that Spurs record when they have very high percentages of possession (usually 65% or more) is considerably worse than when they have less than 50% possession.

Klopp’s whole deal was the gegenpress. Yet Ange is blamed as if he’s doing something so out there.

Sometimes you have bad runs. Sometimes you can have susceptible players.

I know what you mean:

Ange could gain a lot respect in my book by admitting he didn’t have a wide enough, aggressive enough rotation early in the season, and promising to manage our players fitness better going forward. I have a lot of respect for servant leaders speaking humbly.

Because Liverpool has been so successful people tend to forget that, under Klopp, they were often near the league's highest injury rates. His team's had better depth than Spurs do so anything resembling Man City or Liverpool's press utilized with less depth is inviting injuries.

Very good point. Old fashioned strikers are a rare find these days. You look at Chris Wood and you might say he's not exciting, but what team wouldn't want to have all the goals he's scored for Nottingham Forest.
hes there to score goals aint he, get the ball in the box and near him and you have half a chance.

everyone trying to play like city but a lot of wingers are counter attacking players, city at their best didnt really have wingers, they had wide playmakers, theres a big difference.

us trying to pin sides in and boss possession with wingers like son and johnson is frankly retarded.
