We played a lot better than we have done for a long time, I will give him that, but the match coaching was poor yet again. We started second half very well and was unlucky not to score. But instead of making changes, he waits too late so we lose momentum of the game. And the subs he eventuelly made was strange. How are you keeping Brennan on for 90 minutes today?
Agree 100%, changes should have come sooner and BJ should have been first off, a virtual passenger the whole game. It was the previous games decisions that were the usual Ange baffling buffoonery. Why not rest Son against Saints, why not get minutes in Richys legs against Saints and reckon all those decisions were made with his job in mind and not what was best for the team.

Nah he wants to win this Cup just to rub it in our faces, the cnt.

I’ve been in abeyance; but after tonight ( the first time I’ve seen us play in 38 days ) ; I simply can’t see how he can carry on .

Get Redknapp ( Harry , his son or former daughter-In-law ) , or absolutely anyone in before the second leg ; to at least give us a chance of going down fighting.

Or a fighting chance of going out with a bit of respect etc

Just got home from the pub , understandably late , having watched our team play live , for the first time in 38 days .

Three takeaways:

1) We were miserably poor .

2) I enjoyed the free sandwiches.

3) This can’t go on .

Just wondering. When did you last see us play, mate?

Funny because he sounds just like a Spurs fan...
Do you know the funniest thing... after his 'no one likes us' media rant on Wednesday, it dawned on me that Ange IS simply the equivalent of a Fan winning a prize to get the managers job for a season... a FANAGER if you will!

Let's be honest, despite what many think about their own ability to do a better job, had ANY of us got the Spurs managers job this season, we'd probably be achieving similar results, and having to resort to conspiracy theories, woe is me storylines, and clichéd David Brent-esque motivational quotes to try and sound like we know what we're talking about whilst in fact we're floundering!

Amge genuinely IS just one of us!

He is a lucky man ; got the chance of a lifetime but sadly for all concerned; blew it . No shame in that btw .

Let’s roll the dice before the second leg . No need to sack Ange ; he can do co-comms with Milesy and Clive Allen. Everyone’s a winner .

Let Wells and Mason take the second leg.

I just can't bare it anymore.

What’s beyond frustrating is every time we’ve a big game or against a side we should be blowing away there’s zero tempo 99% of the time, we’re completely flat. Look at all the minnows in the FA Cup or doomed clubs like Ipswich… they fight to the last breath. It was the same again tonight - huge game, coming flying out the blocks, getting after them, seeing the fans get behind you… but no, we were half asleep the entire first half. We were a disjointed mess with next to no patterns of play. What on Earth has happened to Ange’s max two touches, pass and go, not playing it backwards unless absolutely necessary… we’re completely pedestrian.

a different person with ange's experience could realize his preferred tactics aren't playing well and roll up his sleeves and look for different solutions and he could draw on his years of experience to find those answers and it would be a great thing to see even if it ultimately failed. but not big ange, we're going to give up the same fucking goal for two years over and over while he blames everything but himself.

Thought second half was very good with a shitload of chances. Not sure why people are flapping about tactics. A bit of luck and could have had 4-5 goals. Maddison looked knackered so no surprise with his sub.

And yet here people crying in their basements and calling Ange names. Some ears deserve a cupping

WHY..
isn't BJ subbed

WHY
are the subs coming on with 10m left?

WHY
isn't Spence playing?

WHY
is the front 3 toothless?

WHY
are we still persisting in scoring goals inside that tiny box

1. BJ is our top scorer; coming off a brace.
2. We were creating many chances between 55-70 minutes. The team was playing well and unluckily to score.
3. Maybe the limited experience playing in Europe ties.
4. Well, there keeper made some good saves and we hit the woodwork 3 times. I agree that Solanke has been very very poor. Can't seem to keep the ball and his movement off the ball terrible.
5. Its who we are mate.

It's the fine margins isn't it, 100mm lower on both occasions and without 2 fantastic saves and it would have been 5-1. Not sure what Ange could have done differently to change those margins.

However, then the rhetoric would of course been that 'It's only Frankfurt, we'd have lost if they were a decent team'.

With the substitutions, it was kind of a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for him'
He clearly delayed to try and maintain momentum, but then has tired legs on the field, but if he'd subbed earlier it could have killed our momentum.

Unfortunately for him, there's no pity left in the bank.
