Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah, that’s the general sense I’m getting from the ‘Poch Years’ fans.
With Spurs, you’re either in it for the long haul — its ruined hope and all — or not. I’ll be happy when all the fair-weathers who think finishing 8th is the end of the world as we know it simply move on to the New England Patriots, Miami Heat, Liverpool or whatever. At least we’ll lose some of the hysterical ‘we’re doomed’ stuff I have to suffer daily.
What a well-crafted, indirect dig.

I was here before Poch- not that you took time to ask before painting me badly with a broad brush.

I'm much happier right now having season tickets to my local USL club.

Incidentally I didn't watch much during the Sherwood period either. I came back to watch more as the team started performing again.

It's natural to watch your club less if they are underperforming.

Mmmmm not sure i agree with the last line.
I might moan more, swear more and announce "That's it,i'm effing done" ,but i have still always supported them. Never tailed off.In fact, when were crap it was more of an incentive to go to away games, the less attractive the journey, the better.

What happened to your reply? Deleted it pretty quick I see...

I always support the club and hope for the best, but watching people mismanage it into the ground is not my thing. There's simply better things to do with ones time, like exercise or play music.

I can't attend the matches in person but I do understand the social aspect of being there with your friends and family- as I said I have season tickets to my local USL club.

Finishing 8th is not the end of the world if we actually have a long term plan in place. I would be fine finishing 8th if we were developing young players and playing an entertaining style.

Finishing 8th while trying to run out players that haven proven themselves to be mediocre (dier, Davies, PEH, this years son, lenglet, Sanchez, sess) and having a short term manager like conte in place is absolutely a waste of time to watch.

If levy goes for another short term manager for one last Kane hurrah, I’m not wasting my time.

The big problem is we charge prices like a top club and talk alot of talk about wanting to be competitive, but we don't spend like one.

Not going after the best available targets shows you everything about what Levy and ENICs true interests are. That is the frustrating part.
The club wants everyone to think, they are one of the big boys, but when it comes from to it they aren't.
Harrods facilities and stadium, but IKEA product on the pitch, spurs are in other words Amstrad.

Can we get on with it if we're going to appoint him, as it takes me ages to learn new names with more than two syllables.
I have no idea if he's going to be any good, I didn't even know who he was before I saw this thread. 🤭
I might be a bit cynical, but I'm wondering if the Celtic fans coming on here singing his praises are lulling us into a false sense of security. If he's that good, surely they wouldn't be wanting him to leave?
Anyway, I wish we'd just get on with it and maybe, just maybe, fourth time lucky 🙏

But do you fancy him or not? (not as much as stevie, obviously!!)
Priorities and all that.
Important things first.

Meet Ange Postecoglou, the Aussie coach with fiery temper set for Tottenham who learned from one of the all-time greats

  • Published: 16:33, 1 Jun 2023

TOTTENHAM's search for a new manager is about to end.
Spurs are set to announce Celtic's Ange Postecoglou as their new boss as early as next week.

He would meet the diversity quota I suppose.

An Australian who was born in Greece, and has a Turkish last name. He's perfect for North London.

I won't disagree we tend to be cheap as fuck, especially in regards to low-balling and stalling transfers, but these two posters are talking about whether or not we will cheap out on a manager.

The facts are that we have backed up a Brink's truck to the previous two managers to the tune of ~15 million for each and a severance package to Mourinho of ~20 million. We have absolutely spent when it comes to managers since going the cheap route on Nuno and we have had shite results with those two as well.

There really is no rhyme or reason as to how this board manages this club but we have definitely spent money on managers recently.

We actually have an inferior team now than the one we had before we moved in to the multi sports and entertainment complex ( which the football club is paying for)
It's a shocking state of affairs when you think about it.

Except you’ve admitted three posts ago that you don’t.
I was here before Levy. I’ll be here long after you and Levy are gone.

Being unable to recognize the difference between the club and Levy and ENIC, and blindly commiting to support them as one, simply means you will personally contribute to enabling the continuance of these issues.

Your heart is in the right place I think but you've taken a literalist, absolutist view that disempowers you from doing anything except hoping shit will get better.
