Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ange is just completely unproven at any kind of high level of football , he’s been a manager since 1996 and is nearly 60 years old. It’s just unquantifiable how different a scenario it is to Pochettino.
Ange's Australia team went toe-to-toe with Chile, Netherlands and Spain at the World Cup in 2014. We didn't get a point but were highly competitive against teams rated far more highly.

A year later Ange won the Asian Cup against very strong South Korea and Japan sides, and then qualified for the 2018 World Cup after profoundly changing his system.

All this time he (and the team) evolved and improved but I guess World Cup qualification and continental trophies aren't high level football.

Ange excels in building team culture and spirit. His players will run through walls for him, and each other. Spurs could do with that sort of spirit I'd reckon. The only query is how Ange would deal with player primadonnas and their cuntish agents undermining his efforts, That's the gamble, because on every other criterion, Ange is an outstanding coach and manager.

Underwhelming appointment if true and yet another indication that Levy and ENIC no longer have a clue nor give a fuck about the team.

Don't give a fuck what he's done at Celtic, there is probably a bigger budget between them and all the other clubs in their league (with the exception of Rangers) than there is between us and Man City.

You'd have to be truly shit not to win anything with Celtic.

We could win a league with celtic

This is underwhelming at a time when fans are getting toxic we appoint ange i will be suprised if he lasts longer then 6 months.

I moaned when we signed poch, which shows what I know.

Good luck to him if he joins us, might see some attacking football but more importantly I can't wait to see what exciting new synergies the club can tie into with Australia and promote our brand to a new audience

Anyone who is convinced this is 100% a good hire or 100% a bad hire, is full of it because I doubt they know enough about this guy or most of the other candidates.

It’s fair to say levy will probably fuck this up but even a broken clock is right twice a day so that’s our best hope at this point.

I like the cut of his jib and he seems a very decent bloke, however, even the people claiming to row in behind him surely know deep down that this is not going to work out.

When is the last time a manager that was successful in Scotland has come down and done well in the Premier League?

Alex Ferguson? But anyway, it doesn’t really mean anything.

A fancy CV is not a guarantee of anything. It’s about the person and their vision of football. Who would have thought that Poch would come from Espanyol and do such a brilliant job with Southampton? Remember all the crying on Sky Sports? How they’d never heard of him and could understand it? Then there’s the other extreme of pundits and fans jizzing over Conte coming here even though it was always a match made in hell.

Our next manager has to see the game the Tottenham way, has to be excited to do business the way we do business. That is the first and only priority.

I understand the caution but I do find it a bit weird that people didn't have this kinda meltdown energy for Slot, a manager who hasn't managed 1 Champions League game in his life.

If he signs I wonder which Spurs player that will grow the mullet.

My bet is on Porro.
My two frontrunners...
