Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There will be setbacks guys. But if the football is still great and the team clearly onboard then setbacks will be more palatable.

My prediction... Spurs to accumulate lots of points in the first third of the season with a couple more momentous victories. The papers will be full of it.

Second third, some setbacks as some of the better managers work out ways to counteract the system. Some of the media will turn on Ange and his naivety.

Final third, Ange and the team will readjust (maybe with a couple of January signings) and finish strongly - flirting with the top four but falling just short.

Final place... 6th, and at least one final.

Jedinak was a very astute player in his time and it seems this has transferred over into his coaching roles. We are very fortunate to have this guy in the coaching squad.
Yep... this was the view from Australia a few weeks back. It's interesting how many of the problems identified in the article have already been addressed.

Sky's the limit really...

I like this last paragraph at the end of the article: And I agree sky's the limit!

"It all starts with the football though, and Ange’s insistence that the players believe in him and the vision will be critical to whether Ange can work his usual transformation. If the Spurs team (already bolstered by a couple of key players in Vicario and Maddison) truly buy into Ange and his “We Never Stop” mantra then anything might be possible.
Those who don’t buy in will be shown the door, and that includes Harry Kane".

I am excited about what is about to unfold this season. It will be a joy to watch as Ange and his crew lay the foundations for what will be an exceptional Spurs team, who I reckon will mount a serious challenge for the league within 2 years. This guy enjoys his work and it shows.

We’re now about a month away from the next North London Derby.

Question for our Celtic friends, cause I’m curious. Given your recent experience with old firm derbies how is Ange likely to approach these? Does he go for the calm ‘we know it’s a big deal for fans but we’re treating it like another game’ or is he more likely to fully embrace the hype?

I don’t think any genuine Spurs fans will be outraged if we don’t get a result away with this, but a brave performance there will completely cement a place in a lot of our hearts, for both Ange and this new team.

I reckon Ange won't even be thinking about the derby just yet. He's only ever been focused on the next match and will certainly know that every successful performance builds confidence and momentum.

He expects to win every match, and that will be his expectation vs Woolwich, who looked anything but title contenders last night.

Won't change a thing - has the same core philosophy for every game. Will never get caught up in media hype either.

Woolwich looked ordinary, but they will step up a peg against us, trouble is we will step it up even more and that's when we pull their fucking pants down, scumbags!

Wasn't sure where to post this. Someone had tweeted these two pictures, one after a Harry Kane goal last season and one after Sarr's goal at the weekend.

Kane is on his own in his pic, but in the Sarr pic every outfielder is there, I suppose it was to illustrate that we are more of a team this season...It's BS of course, if the kane photo had been taken a second or two later more players would have been in it...

But I spotted something a hell of a lot more significant, look at all those white shirts!!!!

We're proud of the shirt again, and it's all down to one man...

I noticed the amount of white shirts on tv - wasn’t sure if the club had asked for it, think they did that once before for some European games (white wall effect)?

It does look really ace.

Were they both supposed to be the same month? The HK one looks like it might be winter - think that has a big impact on wearing white

Who the opposition is doesn’t matter.

It is completely irrelevant. It’s a hard concept to get your head round but it’s true.

The magnitude of the game doesn’t faze Ange at all no matter who you are facing.

Trust me when I say that ANGE IS GOING FOR THE LEAGUE TITLE 🤘🤘🤘

If the first picture most people are wearing coats in the 2nd they are not!
Agree with the sentiment though before kick the miserable gits I’ve been sitting amongst for 4 years were all happy chatting and smiling away it was fantastic / and normally by the 80th minute people would start leaving (never got it myself ) but despite 9 minutes added time barely a soul had left long after the final whistle - something has definitely changed - long may it continue COYS

I think, right now, I would probably take that!
