7th would not be anything for anyone to be proud of.
But if we're 7th with a lot of experience gained by promising young players, a growing understanding of a good philosophy of play, and a clear identification of areas where major resources will be invested to improve the squad, 7th can definitely be a PATH to the place where the club deserves to be and must be if ENIC are going to profit from the stadium investment.
That's a change from where the club was under Jose and Conte, where any season that ran down on Kane's contract without silverware was a catastrophe.
The expectations have not and will not change. The timeline of the cycle has changed.
