I'm even more behind Ange after this. Seeing how pissed off he is pleases me. If he can't change this club then no-one can.

We all know we needed to lose last night (although it still doesn't guarantee Woolwich don't win the title)

It one thing wanting that. It's a complete other thing to be so vocal about it and happy about it.

Doing the Poznan. Cheering goals against us. Absolutely small time. Caring more about other clubs than your own.

I'm surprised at a few on here but on the whole we could have listed the ones who were the worst though. The ones cheering loudest and dancing hardest are the ones, generally, that'll now cry 'Daniel made me do it!'. Pathetic.

Listen, your boyfriend's a dickhead.

And he better fix-up and start actually winning instead of talking about it like a champ, or I will be one of the "negative attitudes" that drive him the hell out of this club.

He's got exactly the same sort of smug-cunty attitude you have.

No wonder you're drawn to him.
A question for you.

Would you rather Spurs to win the ECL or FA Cup if it meant that Woolwich would win the EPL?

It was a very heavy heart I finally voted I wanted to lose yesterday. However there was no celebration when City scored and had we scored then I would not have reacted like normal but rather like when we score a consolation goal, in silence. I understand the crowd being flat but cannot condone the support or glee for the result. I just want to move on and roll on Sunday when they better turn up and win.
I understand Ange’s comments but the fans are only giving the media more ammunition to criticise us.

With his comments about 'the past 48 hours inside and outside the club'

What does that actually mean?

Who inside the club is actually fragile? Has he been given the hairdryer by Levy about top four? Or do we think someone in the hierarchy has encouraged Ange to throw the game and he doesn't like that?

It's a bizarre thing to say at this stage of the season.
If you think how many staff are employed within a team nowadays, and not all fans of the team themselves, he’s probably heard it discussed numerous times over the last few days.

Could be canteen staff, admin, physios, analysts, players, anyone.

To be honest, he comes across like a total prick in that press conference.

Sulking and saying 'I don't care and just want to win' when we've been fucking awful for months. And then calling us out.

Back in your box.

You won the Great Barrier Reef league. You ain't *that* big a deal.
What I don’t get is the “I want to win things”.
I’m sure every manager / coach from U7s has the same intention. Just cos he says he wants to win doesn’t mean he will. I mean I should that is what he wants to do for a job he is getting handsomely paid for. However , exactly how is he going to win things. It’s not arrogant to come along and make easy quotes everyone could that and if it fails he will say well I wanted to win but the rest didn’t. He has surely show something or have a major input in us trying to win things. It’s not as easy as talking about. The last 6 months would indicate we no nearer to winning things than under conte. That is purely based on the performance of the team so far which he is responsible for.

He’s obviously frustrated that the fan base is still obsessed with what Woolwich do even at the expense of our own ambitions. He wanted to win the game and many fans didn’t.

When you’re managing a club with a loser mentality that’s probably very irritating. The first step in fixing our lack of trophies is to actually want to win every single game.
We had a chance to stop Woolwich and increase our own chances of a CL spot and blew it. I do think we have a bit of a loser mentality but 3 wins in 10 games, 3 cup games all season, a record points haul in our first 10 games wasted then i'd suggest its a bit rich deflecting that criticism of a weak, loser mentality to anyone and everyone but yourself.

Oh for sure. Ange needs to adapt as well a bit. Both in tactics and how confrontative he can be. This season has been a learning experience for everyone.

And on some level I cannot fault a football coach for wanting to win games. Since that is how his career is going to be measured and valued at the end of the day.

I think anyone who thought Ange was a shit tactician should be very heartened by what they saw yesterday. We played without a striker and with a new left side of defence and played very well against the best team in the league. It was a very solid display.

It was a heat of the moment rant from Ange after a very strange game. I wouldn’t really dwell on it. He’s not absolving himself of criticism.

Look, I'm not going to go off on you, like I have on others.

Now actually tired.

But this post perfectly encapsulates the few fans (in the grand scheme of this issue, you ARE in the minority) that just can't grasp the scope and scale of what this meant.

And have not bothered to deep dive on the ramifications of literally handing them a title - for free - to boost them another few years ahead of us.

The positive net gain to them far outweighs what we would get from it.

This club has no ambition, because of the cunt we have in charge.

CL money won't be spent.

The football we play is not developed enough for us not be embarrassed in it and booted out at the first possible exit.

The EL will better accommodate us for where we are.

We're in Europe and haven't gifted scum the key to the top tier with a chance of consolidating that.

And we haven't handed them psychological dominance over us (not to mention endless ridicule tokens).

Please try and understand the bigger picture.

It is greatly in our favour.

Ange is acting like a control freak that is hurling his toys around because he wasn't able to direct the fans into processing this game as HE wanted; totally ignoring the cultural substance of it.

It was absolutely unreasonable of him to expect that and I have gone from fiercely defending him to being extremely wary of him.

It's up to him to stop talking about winning, fix the flaws in his tactics/system and just get on with it.

Stop rambling about how virtuously amazing you are, and WIN..

He understands that more than us, so he should show us how it's done, right?

Take a day off for gods sake!

He can’t fix the flaws running throughout the club overnight - others with bigger reputations have tried and failed, so give the guy a run at it and a few transfer windows before having a meltdown.

I've never seen anything so pathetic.

Fans having a go at our coach because he wanted to go out and beat the best team in the world, rather than roll over and gain some banter points for the knuckle draggers.

Good on him for standing up to these idiots.

If you want to score banter points against Woolwich, you need to be better than them. Anything else is pathetic.

Ange Postecoglou is clearly pissed off with the whole thing.

The whole situation is a reflection of our poor form and that reflects on him too he doesn't want us to be in someone else's shadow and rightly so.

Ange is both 100% right and also totally wrong at the same time, its as has been stated many times a totally unique even probably not repeatable for decades.
it was small time and cringe worthy cheering when city were 2-0 up, or having that fan heckle angle constantly telling him to throw the game.

BUT it really had to be done, this rivalry often cuts deep ,We wouldn't have had that attitude if it was Chelsea rather than arse and i got to believe it seeped into the players heads.
Can't believe Son would miss such a chance or Porro give away such a needless pen, Romero's half hearted tackle on foden etc.

It's really quite gross in the cold light of morning having to act small time for a night, and for someone who doesn't have spurs running through his veins i can understand from his perspective looking around at people partying and some of the players not caring as much and thinking what the fuck, this whole institution needs tearing down and rebuilding.

good luck with that

A question for you.

Why is that comparable?

We weren't sacrificing a trophy.

Stop reaching with your bullshit and go find a team to support that you actually believe in instead of following someone you believe in and pretending to love the team they're managing.

Fuck off and do that.

If ange was at Celtic and they needed to beat say Aberdeen to hand rangers a title how long would he have lasted after the full time whistle?
Rivalries outlast managers.
If he had a spent more time on set pieces we may not have lost four in a row and we could have went out and tried to beat city.
If he does it want to be here let him jog on….

a) That wasn't the essence of my post.

b) I've been one of the few who's been in running battles with the pitch-forked hordes who wanted him gone since scum defeat, saying just that and defending him.

So wind it in.

I just dont particulaly like finger pointing and blame shifting, reminds me of Mourinho. In general though i agree, i'm a lot less bothered about comments and press conferences than most.

What does concern me is 10 pts in 10 games and 37 pts in 27 games. Its an utterly abysmal run of form. As bad as any we've seen over the last 20 years.

Don’t fancy the ‘people inside and outside the club’ statement with no amplification or elaboration.
Say all or say nothing. Or according to my gran say what you saying or shut up.
