I disagree. Let’s look at some facts.

Arteta inherited a team that had finished 6th and then 5th. He took them to two consecutive 8th places finishes with 14 wins and 18 wins.

Klopp inherited a team that had finished 2nd and then 6th. He took them to 8th then 4th with 16 wins and then 22 wins.

Both managers did worse than their predecessor in the previous season. Both manager have also done worse than Postecoglou.

Postecoglou inherited a team that finished 4th then 8th and will finish higher - in 5th. Also higher than klopp or Arteta in the transitional season. He’ll also have minimum 19 wins, possibly 20.

Does this mean we will get better results than Arteta or Klopp have? Of course not. But even worse results could still suggest a brighter future. It’s a very good first season in such a competitive league when you are trying to change the style so drastically.

There’s no room for complacency but you can hear in Ange’s press conferences that he’s not about to rest on his laurels. We’ll be better next season.

Where are our players of similar calibre that AP inherited?

They’ve lost a lot of important players to be fair. March and mitoma have missed most of the season and tomorrow, for example, their first choice back four are missing.

Caicedo hasn’t been great for Chelsea but him and MacAllister missing has made a huge difference.

It’s always the same with these small clubs who are a flash in the pan doing well. The get pillaged and then just return to the normal. Last season was as good as it will ever get for Brighton and the manager was a huge part of that. He’ll go on and do well somewhere else I bet.

That's true as well but Brighton this season remind me a bit of us last season under Conte.

A typical Italian coach who's patterns have been found out and just gets angry and blames everyone except himself.

How is it a side note? I'm pretty pissed off that you're demeaning, belittling and attempting to minimise people's genuine desire to be miserable.
And how do you know it's only 'some' fans? We are quite possibly a significant majority, or do you have the survey results? Thought not. You're making it up.
As for 'never' to be happy - don't even get me started on THAT spurious claim. Personally, I wouldn't mind trying 'happy', just once, to see if it's any good.

Yeah. Remember in press conference last year had a little snipe at us saying united can easily go out and buy a 30 year old casimeiro. Conte and di zerbi both prima donna managers.

Joe Hart must be amazing, on loan at Torino but still in City's squad at the same time, truly amazing, more self made facts of course, I expect nothing less.

Ange put his hands up, more often than not, and took responsibility when things didn't go right. Whether or not that is considered admitting to mistakes depends on individual's assessment. If only some of the fans here have that bit of guts like him to own up and say they really don't like him and any of their comments wouldn't be rationale and accepted by most of us, then we can save so much more of the arguments to and fro - it wouldn't get anywhere, because some of his points were being SO taken out of context by the haters.

Just when we all thought we finally have a manager who spoke perfect English and is clearly understood, people are picking on the inference, tonality and choice of the words he speaks. Argh

I have you right about it being the 'mindless minority' every club has them and it is a clear indication they suffer from small club mentality fuelled by a considerably smaller brain.

I draw the line at singing the Scum's name unless we're playing them though and it beggars belief there are people allowed to go out unaccompanied who believe there is merit in it.

I think most fans would admit some kind of relief when we made a fist of the game and the eventual result hampered those cnuts across the way from winning the league but hoping for it to go a certain way is one thing to actively campaign to pressure your team to throw it is an entirely different matter.
