The pattern in our results make sense.

His approach to the game means that when our attack does click, we continue to push and rack up big wins.

When our attack struggles, we still tend to concede.

What’s jarring is that the better the opposition, the better our chances. If we’re going to develop beyond that cycle, we’ll either need our attackers to become more ruthless, or a tactical tweak that gives our defense more protection.

I don’t think we’ll see that though, so I expect will continue to see great wins followed up by perplexing losses or draws.

Historically Anges teams need to be super fit. Are we fit enough? Is it fatigue resulting in missed chances? And ftr in Australia I need ANOTHER subscription service to watch the Europa League and unless we make the final I’m not paying for 2 subs to watch Spurs. So didn’t get to watch the match so have no idea how it unfolded. However the highlights, it looked like we missed some sitters, hit the post several times etc.

We missed some good chances including the post yes. Roma had three ruled out for offside. It was like a basketball match for a lot of it.
 
I think angeball flourishes when the circumstances or opponent allows.
When it does the team is spectacular at times, but when it doesn't they look ordinary and sometimes even worse.
I think that is part of the problem the consistancy of the play, I think in this league it's always going to be up and down.
He isn't going to win a league and, with no requirement for him to do so , they can remain the games entertainers.
 
Calm down. Fine margins in football. We hit the post twice at 2-1, could easily have been another 4-1 win yesterday but they score a late goal for 2-2. Anyone drawing drastic conclusions off that result needs to chill out. Lets see how we get on against Fulham on Sunday!

Use your fucking eyes ffs. You don't need stats to know we are defensively shambolic. Been watching football for over 30 years, I don't care what the stats say, teams create really easy goal scoring chances against us frequently. Never in a million years does any football fan watch us, and think we are a decent team defensively. We are not, we are awful.

The fact we haven't conceded more than we have is down to shite finishing by the opponent, Vicario, and luck.

We are not a team that limits opposition chances, at all.
 
so if we were going to get caught out by a late goal I'd rather it be last night rather than in one of our next 3 league games!

I just hope we can win a close game! Sick of us either hammering teams or else not getting over the line. Its brilliantly entertaining but not good for the heart

Would you rather is become less attacking and more defensive?

I like Ange Ball. Can be frustrating conceding cheap goals but I love the way we play and its such a breath of fresh air compared to Mourinho and Conte. Going more pragmatic is a dangerous game if it means we are going to lose alot of what makes us so good

Did you seriously watch that last night and think we look like a serious football team?

This is us under Ange unfortunately. We are a midtable side. We will hammer some sides, lose against others, and muddle along in midtable, we are not a serious football team.

It seems some of you are happy with this. But Ange is not going to bring us any success, we are nowhere near good enough under him.
