Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Not looking good but who replaces him ? Who’d be stupid enough to come here, yes you can earn a decent wedge for 18 months but that’s it

Mason will come in There’ll be talk of “ looking for the right fit “ & ambition , we’ll sign James Milner on a free & start the same pattern again & again

Sorry to spoiler the next 2 years for anyone who didn’t know

Don't wanna anymore anyone WHO can be described with -ball suffix. No conteball, no angeball, no tuchelibanball. Would just welcome a guy who has plan A, but can adjust and adapt during the game if needed. Introduce some game management. Lack of it is something i hate right now. We always play from the back even when we are getting hammered by opposition pressing. We always play short passes when opponent sits deep, never put a cross, never overlap, never take on. Once we recover ball in our half, we immediately wants to play some hero balls, which more often results with opponent counter. Just look how many times we lost ball cause Porro plays inaccurate long ball to right winger in such case. Also we have no threat from set pieces (Rip Vio times), while conceding on daily basis. And seems like we spend 0 time on training penalty box defending cause its abyssmal. We are not top4 team, but with those performances we will end outside top 10. Especially when his training methods are destroying our players hammys.

I mean let’s be honest, I can’t see how he stays on.

BUT I don’t see us improving all that much either.

We aren’t winning anything whilst that bald lizard cunt is in charge.

Maybe we’ll get a new manager bounce and a bit more consistency but we won’t be winning anything.

Got to be Potter replacing him, right? Can't think of anyone in a job in their right mind who would come to us, and no other realistic suitable unemployed candidates.

Does Potter fill anyone with hope and excitement, or total apathy? Will be a hard sell from Levy.

If levy gets Mason to step in again , it just tells you his real ambition & how serious he takes the footballing side of the company . How many caretaker or interim managers have we had ?

I never like seeing managers go , some definitely deserve to but it underlines our failures Flip flopping from ideologies , always requiring rebuilds . It’s a constant state of transition & that speaks volumes about lack of planning . The only plans we have are blueprints of buildings

Nah he won't do that. He chose fucking Stellini over him last time so very much doubt he will put him in again.

Mason needs to go with Ange.

I don’t think Potter will want to come here. I don’t think any established manager will want to come here right now.

At most top clubs you have overbearing chairmen but at least they pay top whack for players. On paper no player is out of reach. At this club you have an overbearing chairman who also won’t pay top wages. So straight away your job is 10 times harder as you cannot target elite players.

There’s a reason that 7 managers declined the job after Mourinho got sacked, there’s a reason Slot said no to replacing Conte, there’s a reason we instead ended up hiring someone who had never managed in a top league despite being almost 60 years old. Nobody wants to work for our chairman because they can all see the job is impossible. Conte wanted top defenders and he was given Spence and Lenglet on loan. Ange wanted Gallagher and Eze and he was given Gray and Odobert.

Levy will never accept the new normal where top players expect a weekly salary of £200k+. Instead he wants to show the world how clever he is and focus on developing players on low wages.

Time for levy to go. Most spurs fans want him gone.
But the path of least resistance is to sack another manager..
I wonder how much clout owners like levy have with the media. Never hear about how disgruntled we are. Only ever hear about how we want the manger out. ( which is probably 40/60 in favour of staying).
Why does levy get so much protection is what I’m asking.

Honest question - why don't you think people not in the bangwagon of sacking him are supporting more for the club instead of him? Even if it's not Ange, people just want the club to be less trigger happy so the club doesn't go into a futile cycle of rinse and repeat every year and a half.
hear hear. I’m fed up with the merry go round and feel like getting behind the team (and sucking it up with the manager / results) is more important to me- I’m a supporter not a fanatic. Part of the reason I joined this forum many moons ago was exactly that - love the shirt. Players and managers come and go but we’ll still be here - it’s our club.

James Milner is about 400 years too old for our recruitment team

I suspect Levy is desperate for Ange to turn it around, so he can give him to the end of the season.

There’s no one about at the moment. I think Levy fancies someone like Howe, who might be on the market next Summer.

It doesn’t really make a difference though. The only thing that changes the fortunes of this club is new ownership.

So why didn't the manager pipe up to the media when he didn't get who he wanted ? why keep quiet , why say he was happy with the squad-- just to keep his job, just to keep his wage coming in, he could have got sacked and had a big pay off

Whats the alternative watch us carry on like this? Was sacking Ramos being trigger happy? There comes a point when keeping a manager is just doubling down on the initial error to hire him.

Our form over this season, last 25 games this calender year is shocking. There is nothing being built, just a bunch of dissalusioned players with hamstring issues. We owe Postecoglou nothing, he's had a fairly transient career of 1 or 2 years in most jobs. He hardly showed loyalty elsewhere. He isnt some ex Tottenham playing legend or has a load of credit in the bank with us. He had a chance, longer than some who were sacked for less and he's not upto it.

Will we be here again in 18 months time? Probably. But thats still no reason to keep a man so out of his depth.

We all want the club to be less trigger happy, but that doesn’t mean backing the wrong man indefinitely. Sign the right manager and we won’t need to pull the trigger for a while.

Every top club will sack the manager when results are consistently shit. Look at Ten Hag for an example of hanging on to a bad manager for too long. Yeah he managed to win a couple of big games in the cups. It didn’t mean he was the right man, everyone was laughing at how bad his team was in the league. Everyone is laughing at us now. When rivals are laughing at you it’s over. The only one who survived this situation is Arteta but his bosses spent far more money righting the ship than Levy ever will.
