The problem is that this place becomes overly toxic when we are losing games where certain accounts take over. So after a win its nice to see some positivity to balance out all the negativity. The same negative accounts seem annoyed about anyone on here being happy about the win, and that is where these arguments are constantly breaking out. I try my best to avoid them and mostly do but every now and again I bite the bait.
You sound like a reasonable poster and you are fully entitled to your opinion whether that is Ange in or Ange out. I'm Ange In but I totally understand why someone would be Ange Out given how frustratingly inconsistent our season has been. These discussions are good but as you said we should all be happy after a win. There really should be no negativity on here for 24 hours after win and anyone posting the negative comments well... You'd have to question what their real motive is!
Well very true except this isn’t the entire story.
This happens in both directions, and it’s tiring in both directions. You’re absolutely correct, there are some posters who are doom mongers. I imagine they are sad about all aspects of life no matter what.
Problem is the toxicity goes both ways, if we lose you’re right there are lots of doom mongers types. However when we win, there’s a whole group of people who log in just to mock people who have said they don’t believe Ange takes us anywhere. There was a post in the match thread yesterday when we went three nil up, where someone actually said “I just logged in to tell the Ange out idiots that you don’t deserve this performance” this is equally as moronic. A win means people you trawling threads saying things like “so you don’t like it when we win?” “Does us winning make you happy?” “You’re Ange out so you can’t enjoy our wins” it’s ridiculous in other directions.
Liking Ange as a manger doesn’t make you any more of a fan than someone who supports the club but doesn’t think the manager will work out. The poster you quoted put it very well, you can do both.
It’s people on both sides of this that need to get over themselves and realise that people can have different views and that ALL of them can still be Spurs fans. It’s just a shame there’s a very small amount of extremes on both ‘sides’.
