Ah yeah cause squeezing past true European giants like them 3, needing ET to knock out a non-league team and Djed saving Ange's ass in the dying moments vs a poor Champo team...they're all great results cause we won. Gotcha.

Many times I've said we shoulda won vs Leicester or Newcastle this season...and West Ham, Villa (home) or Wolves last year.

I mean, YOU trying to mug me off about my posts? Really? The guy who openly admits he's checked out, doesn't watch games and who gets all excited about players he knows nothing about except watching their YT highlights. You wanna make it personal and go for cheap shots...fine, let's have it. You been acting a right baby for weeks on here, brother. You used to be a good poster and one I liked interacting with, though I often disagreed with your takes. When you took a break from TFC, that's why I even DM'd you to make sure you was okay and to say you'd been missed. Now you're just embarrassing yourself post after post. Holla back at me when you're ready to act grown up again cause I ain't that sweet on chatting Spurs with a 12yo with mirror mirror type comebacks.
Sorry to disappoint you mate

What's in it for us, supporters? Fuck all, really.

What's in it for the owners? Billions of pounds.

To understand the attraction, you have to understand that billionaires finances are wholly different than ours. They don't collect paycheques/dividends. This is why few stocks these days pay dividends - dividends are coveted by average investors, but useless to billionaires they don't want income. They live on credit extended to them based on the value of their holdings. So when Spurs' values doubles, Lewis' values doubles and his access to capital greatly increases. That capital can be accessed to fund further investments. Money begets money.

What's in it for the club? A more competitive landscape. A closed structure Super League would enact salary controls - the billionaires don't want to frivolously waste money needlessly on players. They'd still pay the highest salaries in the world (like the NBA) so would get the best players - but collectively bargaining salary controls provides a fixed cost of labor that can be pegged to the fixed value of collectively bargained revenue (broadcasting, merchandising, etc.) And guarantees profits and growrh for owners.

In a fixed salary structure league, who "succeeds" and "fails" is about who is the best and most efficient at squad building. So, with out current setup, we'd probably not thrive, obviously. Liverpool, probably would. But the chances of us winning would be much higher in that league than in our current league, where we have to be exponentially more efficient because we have to overcome a base spending inequity. In a fixed salary Super League, we'd just have to be better at spending the same amount of money we're allowed to spend.

This is why the Knicks and Cowboys are not successful, despite being the vastly most valuable teams in their sports - they're shit at building teams and cannot leverage their value advantage to offset their lack of squad building talent.
The Cowboys are shite because the owner thinks he's a GM when the reality is he's a senile old fool who lucked out on Jimmy Johnson who built a dynasty for him. He then parted ways with Jimmy because everybody knew it was Jimmy's team and not Jerry's... Dallas Cowboys = Tottenham Hotspur of the NFL

Well put

Our cup performances have been awful too. Ex Liverpool
Nah mate, we won them games so obviously we deserved it and they were great performances. That's how it works.

And think of all them wins Ange coached but the players didn't execute (feat The Extra Mile(sey) The Extra Mile(sey) ).

Or the ones when the big bad ref & media conspiracy vs Spurs robbed us.

And the injuries for which our jeffe ain't to blame.

We'd be top of the league and well on our way to winning the quadruple but Ange's had such bad luck, the poor fella. But the world will soon realise he's the Ozzie Cruyff meets Pep...just better.

Iriola is obviously doing a better job than Ange. See my subsequent post.
Yeah, but your previous post was apology and your "subsequent post" was afterthought...and this post was made 7 minutes after my reply to your "subsequent post"...

what people would expect is some value added from the manager. For folks that are AngeIN, and you are that though you are taking a much more diplomatic tact, you have not been disabused of your position and anyone that has locked horns with you will know this...you are lying in wait for that 5 game win streak so you can pop up and say "SEE!?!?!?!?".

There is nothing to Ange which is why he can't get a song out of the squad and why once there was video and other coaches cottoned on, our results went downhill. I've been saying this to you since the first 10 games...it's all gimmick...nothing substantive to his game. Which is why there is no future with this guy...and getting 20 more of the best players in the world doesn't validate him, it damns his nothingness. Iraola is doing more with less and just as many injuries...that's value added...that's worth keeping (or pursuing, in our case).

I too hope he lasts the season...and I have been consistent in this. But that's only so you and other bad-faithers can't pop up and tell us what a great coach he was and how he would have been successful but for those pesky injuries...it's not true, he's really bad.

As a Cowboys fan for almost 40 years, you don't have to explain it to me.

Dallas is definitely not the Spurs of the NFL though. United is more like the Cowboys of the PL, honestly.

Refuse come tomorrow, so I’ll bung Ange out with the rest of the crap later
I don't think the guys on the dust will want him. The truck will break down and he will want the crew to pass the rubbish around outside the homes of residents who pay top council tax dropping left overs and old nappies all over the place.

When challenged he will tell the residents that he's down a couple of regulars and we're having to do two rounds a day with same crew but I'll turn it around...

Picturing Simpsons episode where Homer became Sanatation Commissioner...

This has decended pretty rapidly but such are these days...

Well, he did win one more after Jimmy and that is what he is living off of. He is more of a showman now than a owner. Kind of like Levy.

So, he lives to fight another day. I honestly thought that might be it. We plod on.
We're in uncharted territory here. There's something very very strange going on in levyland.

Unless we slip into the bottom 4 I think he'll get until we're out of at least the league cup and Europe. That or the first mauling once the first choice players are back and there's no more excuses.

What is Munn doing behind the scenes? Is he somehow still protecting his Aussie chum? If Ange is staying, where the actual fuck are the reinforcements? Either way in fact, where the fuck are they?? This is not a serious football club.

It's one of only three things Ange is basically has full Svengali like powers and Levy is hypnotised, we have incoming owners even in part who want a say, or most likely, we have tapped up Iraola or Silva and they have agreed to come in the summer and will not walk out of their teams. The last seems most plausible.
even if we have tapped them up for summer, we needed to make an emergency change a while ago. someone said benitez, that would be good enough till the end of the year. stick him on some nice bonuses, top 8 finish, europa and league cup. the season is still alive if the change is made now, we cant afford to not only burn anymore games, but let this rot saturate further.

Jesus could you imagine such a place

How has he not been sacked yet? Is it that since we're looking for a new medical team Levy blames the current ones for depriving Ange of the big players? Did they give the all clear to Romero and VDV for that Chelsea game?
