Why do you care? I get it why you’d care about Ange and his performance for us, but why are you so absolutely vexed that there may be other fans that don’t agree with you?

Seems to be a thing in here, same in the ENIC thread and a few of the player threads. Less shit getting thrown the way of the subject and more thrown at people who don’t think exactly how you want them to.

Posters that do this are narcissistic weirdos. Stop searching for acclaim and accord everywhere you go. Some people will always disagree with you. Accept it.
When it gets to the point a manager is dividing the fan base it's time for him to go.

Daniel Levy in the high castle right now

"Yeah, Don Pedro off TFC don't fink no one can do it, so I won't bovva"

The man in the high castle has already determined the improvements in this transfer window isn't possible.

No, managing PSG was - which he got straight after Spurs no?

Probably. We aren’t bad for managers careers really.

Unless we win a couple of cups though, Ange will be lucky to be hired by any club in the top leagues though. He will be the guy who led us to the worst season in years & years, and he doesn’t have the CV of a Conte.

Won’t owners remember “those 10 games” and run around lauding a “high ceiling, low floor” style of football?

Surely?

Fuck knows about Jose. Just saw a similar list to this earlier in the week and he was on it as someone doing well.
It was probably my list, but my point was managing Spurs isn't the career suicide some on here have convinced it is, nothing about how well they're doing in said post-Spurs employment.

Jose was already on the decline, and after us he still got a decent Serie A job for a bit.

Some have questioned whether Postecoglou's training sessions have been too intense for a small, jaded group of players but Porro shot down such talk, making it clear that there was no time for heavy sessions among all of the matches and recovery time involved, with each player carefully managed through each week as much as possible.

"We have a plan for all of our training. Those players who aren't playing so much have their own plan to come back and me too, I train at the club but I also do my own work outside the club, recovery work, prevention of injury," he said.

"Everyone has their own schedule, if the training sessions are less intense it's for those players coming back, they have the training they need, and also for the players who are playing, we need a lot of recovery."

This is where Alistair Gold got the comment he said on Ally and Gold from then but I can also say this does not disprove that the injuries are related to training and the lack of fitness work. It just says they do not over train. On top of that the way Ange plays where he expects everything at a break neck speed and his main way of creating chances when we are good is a high number of turnovers because of the intensity of our press can also contribute just as much to our injuries.

I am not saying it is but we are right to question it.

Porro interview dropped, he says some interesting things about training that a few of you might want to read, you probably won't like what he says though.

What do you expect any player to say? He's never going to say anything negative and throw the manager under the bus in an interview with Ally Gold.

It amazes me that people actually hold up articles like that as anything other than what they are, PR guff. I bet you'd get a much different answer if you were Porro's or any other players mate and asked him privately.

Also depends on who you ask. Porro might think it's fine, (he's not been injured). VDV might think training is a mess.

I think instead of reading what Spurs players are saying in public interviews, it's better to actually look at the evidence. Spurs are way out in front with hamstring injuries compared to all other PL clubs. That strongly suggests there is a major problem with Ange's work. Especially when you also consider that he admits his training causes issues, and it happened at his previous clubs. Either that, or Spurs have been so unfortunate two seasons running with injuries just coinciding with Ange arriving...hmmmm.

Anyway as far as I am concerned, the injuries aren't the major issue. It's Ange's appalling tactics and management and coaching. Even if we were to put the injuries down to a freak unlucky two seasons running event, he should be sacked for loads of other issues anyway. The whole injuries and who is to blame is just a diversion and distraction.

This. Top6 club job is not available that often. And even when it is, those clubs usually goes abroad with next hirings.

Who was the last guy promoted from low/mid PL tier to Top6 club as manager? I think that was Nuno in 2021? Ahh and Potter to Chavs. You could count also Maresca but lets be honest, he was chosen strictly based on fact he has Pep connection.

Guys like Iraola, Frank, Silva know next chance to jump into top6 club in England won't happen again soon for them, so they won't risk waiting till summer. Its all about Levy paying the price.

Even Amorim was told he had to join untied when they went in for him and that the job wouldn’t be there in the summer. He rightly wanted to wait. I bet he wished he’d have stuck to his guns.

So managers will move if their clubs are compensated for sure. They can’t risk missing out. If they fail at the big clubs it isn’t like they aren’t rewarded with another job anyway. Once they are on the managerial gravy train they don’t want to get off or else it’s hard to get back on if you’re out the game a few years.

I thought the bolded bit very telling. A lot of contentious players do extra but we’ve got to wonder if the other who have been injured are or if they are having to get more help externally because they aren’t getting it from within the club.
