Media have upped the ante on ange now they got rid of ten Haag. ( okay yes ange is probably doing a terrible job in his own) but
the media need a target.
The fact he ( southgate) has fuck all club management experience is ironic considering it’s a stick they use to beat ange with.

Anyone who thinks we are going for Southgate next hasn't a clue. It'll be an attacking manager. They'll stick to the project and hope that Ange laid some good attacking foundations.

Moving to a totally defensive coach like Southgate would be clueless and show we have no direction and are just making it up as we go a long. I'd totally give up on Tottenham if we went for Southgate. I'd be left with no choice but to wash my hands of it all
I’d rather Southgate to the loser we have. But yes. He’d be a very poor
Choice

I have a feeling Levy has Terzic or someone else already lined up for the summer.
He can also then say he has given the manager every chance to succeed (when in reality of course he hasn't as usual ) and the fans who don't want the merry go round to continue as it has might be appeased and think hes on our side.

He may have his hand forced if we don't win our next 2 games mind you. The only window for a sacking now to make any difference to our season is probably this Sunday should we fail to beat Leicester. After that we are flat out til the Villa game and the season will be over by then anyway.

Santini?

Quite

Levy may be betting on us still being in the PL at the end of the season. I can't see where we're going to get 16 pts to get us to 40pts. If we stay up in those circs it's because there are some teams that are sooooo bad that we aren't in the bottom 3.

As ever, Levy ready to sack off a season and cups to make his life easier.

“Sources familiar with the situation, who asked to remain anonymous to protect relationships, say that the medical staff had reservations about Micky Van de Ven’s readiness to play vs Chelsea. But nevertheless, he started the match. The club insist he was ready but the plan had only been to play him for around 60 minutes. Due to circumstances during the match, he ended up playing for 79 minutes.”

Yeah had a look through the fixtures there this morning and honestly can't see where we get 6 wins at the moment to be absolutely safe over 40 pts. Its looking very likely 35 is more than enough but we do not need this team to be anywhere near 18th going into the last 5 games when we cannot win a game let alone two on the spin.
Dire times man.
A cup doesn't save him now for me - zero chance anyway so its a moot point.

I don't believe a cup win should save him. The league finish is the way managers are judged. Things secondary like domestic cups are in no way to cancel out the league finish and the generally terrible state of the club.

If anyone can win a domestic cup with the state the this club is in now, it only further devalues the status and importance of those cups in my mind.

30+ points will be enough IMO providing we beat Leicester and Ipswich. We will be too far ahead of either - they both have tricky fixtures to negotiate. We are in a precarious position but as long as we don’t lose to either we will probably be ok.

i'm sorry but this latest nytimes article is devastating for ange and the club heirarchy and the mouthpieces like gold who feed us shit on the daily. i'd call it a joke but it's a tragedy and it's destroying our club as we speak.

Methinks someone within the organization has seen enough, and wants to remove the only crutch holding up Ange's regime (the injury crisis and related excuses).

“Although the club insists that Scott’s departure did not involve Ange Postecoglou, sources with knowledge of the situation, who asked to remain anonymous to protect relationships, say that the pair fell out over how to manage the first-team squad’s workload and the recovery of injured players.”
