There’s nothing more to say. You are wrong but I’m now content to just wait till the end of the season as it has become clear that recycling the same stuff weekly is pointless. No amount of individual results will make you back down from your positions. Total failure at the end of the season will.

You won’t see posts from me on the topic until he’s gone. Even if we lose both cup games coming up and he stays. Anything that can be said about him and his failures this season has been said.
Respectable.

I seem to recall you asking how thick I was so it isn’t isolated to the English on this site, is it?

What did you say?

That wasn’t even a pop to say how well things are going.

I said I’m not saying anything until after Villa about things went this week Tel signing doesn’t change that.

Was just thinking you’d been very quiet.

I know you said Tel would never happen, what you saying now it has?

Of course anything is possible but Ange will have to have an incredible finish to the season ie winning a cup and a much higher place in the table to offset the shocking form more or less for a year now to regain his credibility and silence his critics .Beating Brentford seems to got folk believing in him again ,kind of shows how low we are at the moment .Hopefully things turn out and shock me .

His only failures this season are in the league. Yes its been bad but levy has rightly given ange the cup games as he probably knows a change in manager will not see us get top 6 anyway. Plus there is no point in firing him when the next option is ryan mason.

Ok, did a little rudimentary back-of-a-fag-packet research, so take with a pinch of salt:

Attributes I like:

- Fucking rapid
- Lovely shooting technique off his right; short backlift, good aim, often hits the far corner
- Similarly lovely clipped crossing tecnhiqu off his right when he cuts inside, good accuracy
- Nice close control
- Drives well towards the box, particularly in space
- Skills, looks like he can beat a man

Drawbacks:

- Unclear if he has a left foot at all. The one shot I saw off his left was terrible technique
- Unsure about his crossing ability off his left when he gets to the byline
- Looks much more comfortable on the left flank where we have plenty of options than the right or centrally where we really need players
- Don't think he looks massively comfortable playing with his back to goal, or laying the ball off, or physicality, so think he might have a ceiling as a striker (caveat, he's only 20 and strikers peak late)
- Not sure if he's your Mitoma-esque dribbling profile to stand on the left flank and dribble against a parked bus.
- Seems to prefer to play with space in front of him on the counter, hence why he might have suited Tuchel ball last year more than Kompany ball this year which is more possession based
- Maybe would suit the next manager more if they play with more invested wingers.

That said, liimited sample size. Overall am more pro the signing than I was half an hour ago because it's clear he's got real ability. But to me he looks very raw and a 60m investment on a player who Bayern bought for 20m 2 years ago and who hasn't set the world alight since would make me incredibly nervous. For 70 you could buy Kvara who is the proven article. This guy's fee seems massively overinflated to me and im praying it's just a loan for now.

underwhelming clips to be honest. his role in the sane goal against liverpool was nice, the rest was meh.

hopefully he suits the prem, dont find him exciting tho, if bayern are willing to let him go on loan it tells us hes not good enough for top football. hard to get excited about anything with caveman in charge, its been over a year of dross, true excitement to watch us again will come when hes gone.

When you say the next option is Ryan Mason, you do realise he’s not going to suddenly change offices and start ordering everyone about.

He’s just the head of the collective ‘club management’, so he will be working with all the assistant coaches and as a unit they will steer the first team in an interim period.

In fact, his main role will be to talk to the cameras and not say anything too exciting.

I get that people might not want that, but I think his role is more than a little over egged.

Yes but its just not worth doing. I actually think levy has done the right thing by not bowing down to the pressure and firing ange.

If we win a cup and can get back above 10th or so, I guess I would consider letting Ange continue.
Same mentality that led to United keeping Ten Hag, even thought the entire footballing community knew that doing so would be fucking retarded. And look how that turned out. Another 200m blown in the summer on a busted flush manager and now United are having to sell their academy stars to break even. If we're not careful we could be in the same situation in a year.

I don't give a fuck if we win every single cup going between now and the end of the season, Ange has shown tactically he's not up to it and should be out the door the day the season finishes. He won't win them anyway, because news flash - we're shit. And if by some miracle he wins something, thank him with a nice handshake before slamming the door on his way out.

Personally disagree. I’d have fired him in December.

But I understand the reluctance to have Mason in charge. My only point is that he’s not going to be some aloof dictator that suddenly starts imposing odd new tactics. He’ll simply work with all of the senior coaches and likely manage by consensus.

Therefore it's a pointless move replacing him, Mason doesn't change anything.

I've been pretty strongly Ange out, I don't think he's up to it in a number of areas.

That said, he does seem to have the players behind him, he has had a terrible run with injuries, and I do like his ideals of attacking football.

I think he could be successful, with a complete overhaul of the coaching staff. Coaches who can turn his idea into a practical system, that can make the team more than the sum of it's parts, that can better judge how hard to push the players, someone who can point out how dumb it is to pen the opposition in their own half but expect the likes of Johnson to thrive.

Fergie was quite reliant on his coaches doing the training ground work, leaning on your staff to implement your ideas isn't a crime.
