Again out of context. But it’s a common thread on here. He hasn’t signed only young players however unfortunately a lot of his senior players are injured so he has had to play the youngsters way more than he had anticipated.
Then he’s an idiot.

We struggled with injuries and form last season in just 41 games. We knew the potential for 69 games before a ball was kicked this season. We’ve already played almost the same number of games as last year.

We let experienced players in Emerson Royal, Perisic, Dier, Hoijberg and Skipp leave and only brought in one actual first team player in the summer.

What did everything think was going to happen?

He has signed large numbers of young players and then uses inexperience as an excuse

Why sign an inexperienced GK if he’s now implying he needs an experienced one?

Forster was on the bench too.

When he says “don’t criticise the players” but then alludes that “I’ve got kids out there what do you expect” he’s passive aggressively doing it himself.

He’s got Reggie on the bench and refuses to use him. Didn’t use Davies against Villa and continues to rinse poor Archie out of position.

He is fucked for choices but he does still have some options.

After every bad performance that guy goes to ground for as long as possible and only reappears with the “full backing” message…tedious cult member.

I recall his “Daniel Levy don’t you dare” nonsense back in November when at that stage it was obvious Daniel actually did need to dare.
He is the no 1 arse licker as he goes to the press conferences and that basically pays his wages’as a spurs reporter. I assume he is a spurs fan but can never really give us his opinion on what’s going on. He washes it all up in a long drivel. I have yet to hear him say tho gs like “ wdf is Porto doing there”

At no point did the line of questioning criticise the players, Ange threw that in without prompting half way through his answer regarding the general status of injuries in the team.

The questions were incredibly light touch - Ange has built up a lot of goodwill with the journalists, getting clicks every time they report on his quips and 'Mates'.

I have a feeling that is about to change. He obviously doesn't want to talk about his own record (officially the worst Tottenham manager in history by many metrics). He doesn't talk about his tactics. He has always been very fragile when questioned about whether he is good enough for the prem.

At some point - likely this weekend if we lose - they will switch it up and hit his ego knowing he'll crack like an egg. The clicks that will generate will be too tempting.
Ange would be so easy to send over the top

He really is there to be cut off at the knees if a journo has guts

Honestly, I’ve felt this way for a while, but this manager in particular has drained any desire I have to invest my time. It just feels like a wasted afternoon because, more often than not, I already know how it’s going to end.

Under Poch, I never missed a game, home or away; whether in person or on TV. Same with Jol and Redknapp. I’d give anything to have that sense of hope back again.

Ange has drained that hope out of me along with Levy, who ultimately, is the biggest problem at our club.

Very sad about it all tbh.

It’s on top of the champions league final defeat and then subsequent managers and now this. An accumulation of shit that just seems to be getting worse. Plus the match day experience with var etc. ruining games to top it off.

I think we expected something like this.

Those in RED are injured. Those in yellow have not been available for a lot of the season. I'm not sure which supercoach you expect to pull out victories playing 2 times a week with this availability.

VICARIO
forster

PORRO - ROMERO - VEN -UDOGIE
spence - dragusin - davies - Reggie
BISS - BENTENCAUR
Sarr
- Grey
JOHNSON - KULU - SON
Odobert - Madisoon - Werner

100%. This is why he has to go. In a cup game survive or die. Play your strongest team.
Reggie, Davies, Dania and Spence.
Far stronger and capable of playing to their strengths. Like I have posted before Spence at RB and we don’t concede the same goal for the 20th time this season ( the Porro has gone wandering again goal)
Reggie isn’t ideal but he can defend unlike Pedro Zorro.

Super coaches would not play the way we are exacerbating the soft tissue injuries.

We are the only team playing this specific way in terms of sprints.

He has had bad luck with injuries of course, but some are a result of the way he sets us up.

If what is happening is what many of us - without the prerequisite experience - expected and predicted then these fuckers should have seen it.

Losing Micky and Cristian derailed our season last year, from which we never recovered. Anything can happen once in life, but the trick is to learn from your mistakes. We not only failed to learn, we actively made it worse by lightening the squad. He is on record saying we had a good summer window and were prepared when we all knew we weren’t. Oh look.

When you let first team quality players go and then replace them with kids, there’s a good chance those kids are going to be called upon. And there’s nothing wrong with signing kids but they should be in addition to first team players.

Football players being asked to sprint by a manager, outrageous.

With all due respect, the following week we smashed Man City, and we were 3 points off 3rd; and just 4 behind 2nd. We had outplayed Leicester, Newcastle and Woolwich and those results really ought to have gone our way.

At this stage we had shown that the system was allowing us to dominate games and score lots of goals - but we were consistently being let down by individual errors - with Romero getting dragged out of position because our midfielders failed to track runners. Small improvements to the squad performance would certainly have put us comfortably in top 4 territory.

Mate.
Go watch our games. Like what really happen, not what ought to have happened.

We play with one #6 and 2 CBs.
There are moments in every single game where there will be runners charging towards our defense, uncontested. It is 100% part of "Angeball".

Almost every goal in the end is an individual error. Either defender giving too much room. Or getting dummied with fake move. Or outran. Or midfielder not covering his player properly. Or goalkeeper not reaching some balls that are savable.

But it is also THE SYSTEM that either creates those moments in which to make an error. Or eliminates those.
And this is again down to interpretation. Either this is absolutely random "unluck" that for at least 14 months we see extremely high number of individual errors. Or is there something systematic involved. To me it seems extremely unlikely that random streak would last more than a year. But that is just me.
