It's been a poor season you're right about that. The crazy thing is redemption is still very possible. If Spurs win EL none will be talking about a slit season. That will be a nailed on sure thing. If and and only if Spurs win the EL.
Winning the EL solves so many short terms problems that coming 16th will seem not a problem by those at the club. If it does what happens after will be very interesting. Everyone Ithink knows what happens if it's not won.

We have lost way too many games with or without injuries, a better manager with a better set up would have us higher in the league.
Very likely no European football next season for the club, a team 8th richest in the world that should be unthinkable.
Standards are low at the club and he has helped lower them, no giving him more time or money in the summer, just show him the exit door.

But managed to beat Woolwich in the semi’s to stop them winning the double and then won the cup.
Without any shadow of a doubt this place would have been a toxic hell that season.
The thing is Spurs are equal or better than any team in the EL on paper. Except oddly enough Man U. On paper doesn't always transfer to reality.
If Spurs win the EL there is claim there (not saying I agree with it) that the system works with good enough players. The other side is of course Spurs dont win the EL. That is definite proof the system doesn't work at a certain level and beyond. Even with the better players.
People point at different games such as Chelsea and the nine men. Brighton etc. The most troubling games I think are the ones lost to teams that Spurs had by far the superior players. Those games are pointing to a problem with the system.
There are games you aren't expected to win. There are games that are 50/50. And there are games you should only rarely lose. Every team has an off day etc. There were way too many shouldn't lose, lost this season.
The EL is about to provide the answers that nobody will be able to dispute one way or the other on the Ange system.

Would love to win the EL we all would, I just think he will get found out again.
If teams like Ipswich and palace can beat us, certainly teams in Europe can or will.
If anything Ange's appointment makes Levy look incompetent. Levy hasn't got the right football people around him ( probably cost too much in Levys world) advising him properly. So we end up with this duffer. 14 defeats this season out of 27 that's bloody awful and to keep this idiot employed is compounding the mistake. It may not be a stain on the history of the club but, its pretty close.
Fucking glad we threw that game against Man City just to rest a few players. They're going to be knackered with the schedule this month!
