There’s always going to be some sympathy for Ange because he has to work for Levy. Even some world class managers have found that impossible, so a scrub like Ange never had a chance.
But surely even the most sympathetic fan knows deep down that Ange doesn’t have what it takes to compete at this level. You can’t lose at home to Van Nistelrooy’s Leicester and still pretend to know what you’re doing.
It could happen as a one off fluke. The issue is it also accompanies needing extra time to go past Tamworth, losing to Ipswich at home (they have 2 away wins all season including this), the absolute disaster that was *that* Alkmaar game and about 12 other awful results this season.
And the best bit is: we weren’t unlucky. It wasn’t a game where we battered them but the ball wouldn’t go in. It was a tight match.
