I still think that he’s the wrong fit overall in terms of the league, but his management in the EL has been quite the juxtaposition. He’s animated, implements tactics, is more thoughtful on substitutions and reacts to the game better. And shithousing the second half with 3CBs too was lol.

If he applied the same in the league we’d be in a much better position. I’d imagine the majority of Spurs fans would take the EL over finishing 4th (or 5th) this year, and had we finished 10th-14th I suspect there’d be much less clamouring to move him on.

21 defeats aside in the league (which is a big aside) you have to let him start the season. Even if you know it’s wrong and may end in tears.

But Levy might just give him a little more quality now. And that might just pay dividends. Ange has some ammunition now.

Yeah, it is a strange one. I definitely felt more immediate joy in '08. This one is less immediate joy and more of a long-lasting happiness because it just gets better and better as time goes on. 41 years is beyond my lifetime. I only ever read about this one looking at pictures in a Tottenham opus.

The fact it was with the worst PL team just gets funnier / more of a relief every day. There are beyond my lifetime historical areas of my brain i did not know I had tension in that are gradually releasing. I fucking grew up watching Gary Doherty and finishing 14th in the league. We only dreamt about qualifying for the Uefa Cup, nevermind beating United 4 times in a season casually.

If we have a chance at Emery, Klopp, or someone of that standing, we should take that, but I’m less intrigued by Silva, Iriola and Frank as I am with giving Ange another go.

It's a difficult scenario to reconcile at this point in time, as emotions are as high as they could ever be and, for me personally, it's created a real conflict.

It's far too soon to make an informed decision as I'm still buzzing from last night. I was up until the wee hours just watching and absorbing absolutely everything from the match to the post match videos, I even watched a video of our 3-2 win at OT in 2012 just to keep the vibe going.

Part of me wants him to stay to show that he's learnt and adapted. His post match presser put a lot of things into perspective, with him stating that he basically shelled the PL in favour of this trophy, so that part of me is wondering if he'll show the same adaptation in the next league campaign and, let's be honest, he's earned the opportunity to show that.

Ultimately though, the decision doesn't sit with us. All we can hope for, as fans, is that the right decision is made and that will only be seen after the fact.

If he is kept on, I truly hope he smashes the granny out of the league and proves every single doubter wrong. I want that almost as much for him as I do for the club. I honestly like the man and think he is genuine. I do love to see people like that get ahead in life.

Would be a different situation if the performances were of a similar trend of last year, where we yoyo’d a fair bit. This year however we’ve been consistently pretty shit in the league, and I can’t say I’ve seen us build towards a particular style of play, or even seen any patterns of play.

Let him leave on a high. It wasn’t pretty but he’s succeeded where better managers have failed, and will always be remembered for that.

I feel like Ange deserves to stay, but I admit I wasn't saying that before this week. Fergie took 3 years to do anything at Utd. We never give managers time, maybe we should.

However, one way of looking at it unemotionally, is to look at Utd. HAD they scored a couple of goals last night and beaten us, would Amorim staying or leaving be the best thing for them, as a club, going forward? Would Amorim winning the cup instead of us, give Utd the best chance of being greater next season, with him, or with someone else in charge?

If you look at it like that, it's maybe easier to be objective about whether Ange is the man for Spurs next season.

My impression of his post match interview was that he adapted because it was a knockout competition, not that it was any indication of him planning on doing the same in the league.

If he stays I don't see him adapting in the league.

He's had a couple of those matches in the league Brentford for example (can't remember the other one, may have been Wolves (H) )

He can do it when he wants, the question is whether he's too stubborn that his tactics are flawed with the players that he has or is he going to adapt to them on a regular basis.

He has earnt the right to another season

If any of us questioned Levys dismissal of Mourinho one week before the cup final then wanting/pushing Levy to get rid of Ange after he’s just masterminded a UEFA cup final win and our first trophy in 17 years, needs to have long hard think.

I had like many given up on Ange but after last night, he must be given another season.

And If we do get shot of him, we deserve all the abuse and ridicule.

That said there needs to be some fine tuning from Ange and some realisation that this is the PL. Additionally we need Fabio involved.

I am now officially Ange in….
