Yes.


Add some fat to it though.
Did we lose 22 league games on purpose? No.
Did we lose some of them through lack of quality in the match due to protection for the Europa League? Yes.
Did we lose some because the players were holding back to not add to the injuries? Yes.
Were they holding back because they were told to, or by their own choice? Probably both
Did we actually need to do it? No, but we did need a trophy as we're all sick to death of the ribbing.
Was the Europa League actually hard to win? No, they're quality of opposition was below average.
Was it worth winning? For the future of the club, yes.

We absolutely were not going out full strength for every PL game.

These sort of decisions should be made objectively, and if we do that there’s only really one sensible outcome based on plenty of evidence from our league form.

Emotion is the basis for both arguments.

I don't know what Levy will do. It's out of our hands. Ange, has delivered the poorest of league results, yet delivered a one in 4 decade Euro trophy.

Will 2025 be remembered as the worst season in modern PL history for the Club, or the year we brought the EL home?

Either way, if Ange stays ( and I think he will ), like those before him... he will have my support.

For some it certainly it is!

Keeping Ange will be based on pure emotion rather than the objective evidence of the last 18 months. I think it’s difficult to argue otherwise.

I’ll certainly get behind him if he stays (even if I think it’s the wrong decision).

Agree you either back the guy properly or don't back him at all, all this 10 matches business is stupid, you're not committing to anything other than sentiment.

The problem is that backing for this board means that they do it half arsed...Ange's system thrives on having top players who can make a difference, go and get your Eze's and Mbuemo's if your serious and want Ange to succeed if you don't then we're gonna be talking about another wasted season.

Unfortunately I don't think the board pull their finger out for him because why would they, they haven't done it for anyone else hence why I'm more in favour of him leaving.

I dunno it's not an easy decision either way but the only way the board justify keeping him on is if they are going to go big in the TW, can't see it personally.

There is no argument worthy of the name to keep Postecoglou, because he has shown that he needs the highest calibre of player during a season to be competitive.

That he won a trophy for us is something incredible, but there are for more managers who win knockout competitions than win titles, or even get their teams regularly in let's say top 3 positions.

If Levy's silence means no change, then unless we buy 4/5 players of quality, we are consigned to another PL season of dross.

I absolutely refuse to be sucked in by the emotion, and strip that aside, and you aren't left with enough.

Just My opinion - we have a lot of young players on loan and in the academy that need a manager with fresh ideas and a different approach . I'm fed up of having managers that want to come in and buy players and still don't win anything because they're stuck in their ways . He's young and develops young players

For some, the objective evidence is our first European trophy in 41 years, our first trophy altogether in 17 years and Champions League football.

The poor league form is a valid argument for wanting him gone, but equally the EL trophy is a valid argument for wanting him to stay.
