Every managerial search is the same. Calls to bring in seasoned, demanding, serial winners. Which forgets who our owners are, how they operate and the limitations. Its fanciful thinking of what people think we are compared to the reality. I wish Levy would fuck off but we are where we are. You need a certain skillset to do well here under this lot. Be pragmatic, improve players,accept 2nd or 3rd transfer targets and make it work. Every single one of these managers we’ve been linked to will still be on the market in January. If not them, there will be another one just like them. They are baked into the PL business model.
When ENIC bought us we were the 16th richest club in the world. We've climbed 7 places by Levy building us into a self sustainable business model.
The chavs and Man City have enjoyed their periods of dominance thanks to being bankrolled and treated like a billionaires plaything.
The year ENIC bought us Leeds were the 5th richest club on the planet. So you only have to see what financial mismanagement can do to a club. Look at the issues Man Utd have at the moment...
If we'd done a Leeds and yo-yo'd between the Premier league and League 1 then I'd accept the scumbag comment.
