We all appreciate him winning the Europa but it’s because we aren’t used to silverware that some fans are going soft on him.
At any elite team, if you won a lesser trophy like the EL but finished 17th in the league, you’d be thanked politely and told to find a new club.
I'm not sure I agree, every other fan I've heard from (2, it's two people... Villa/Liverpool) were in total agreement that the game and the two sides involved were utterly abysmal, lots of Social Media posts made the same observation.Simply saying if you stuck your post on a neutral forum and ask which fan group that was from most would say it was from a gooner i would suspect....![]()

European Trophies won by a Spurs manager not named Ange Postecoglou in the last 40 years - 0Some more stats from our EL final against the shittest Man U side you'll ever see:
35% possession
3 total attempts (1 on target, arguably)
0 'clear' chances
1 run into penalty area
66% pass accuracy
We won, and that's what matters - but it was absolutely despite the way we played, not because of it.
Not as sure myself. We scored two goals from turnovers and had another 3/4 good opportunities. Seemingly didn’t try to alter it through the match. I don’t watch Brentford every week so maybe off but they look to me like a direct team that tries to mostly play in transitions.Right or wrong (wrong in this occasion) Frank changed his tactics to play out from the back in that game.
It may not have worked that time but i do like a manager that is flexible with tactics and formations

I think it's fair to say that, whilst only League title and CL are bigger than it, there is quite a big gap in prestige between the two groups.I agree to a certain extent, but how is the UEFA cup a 'lesser trophy' exactly?
What's bigger bar the league and champions league?? I've got news for you..we're not gonna win either of those in the near future!.....![]()
True!alien language to him! his idea of being a good manager is getting the players to run hard for the love of their families and be ultra high up the pitch, with the added genius spark of having full backs acting as the most important playmakers on the pitch.....
liverpool won the CL final against us with 39% possession
and 3 attempts on target all game
i wonder if they cared about the way they won it as much as spurs fans seem to about how we won the europa. I do wonder if they said it doesn't really mean much because they just stayed in a deep block against a team thats never been to a CL final with a midfield of winks and sissoko and a half dead harry kane
spurs supporters are truly a interesting bunch
I believe though we would have been more forward thinking and created more chances had we had an attacking midfielder fit! Utd had everyone fit pretty much. Agree it was a dire game.I'm not sure I agree, every other fan I've heard from (2, it's two people... The way to tell it's an Woolwich fan is that they will also add in bitterness at us having won it on top.
I'm not bitter, I just don't see any point in trying to hide from the fact that it was dire stuff. Even Jose would find it difficult to muster a semi for it.

Yawn...stop trying to pay down our EL win in an attempt to get at the manager, it's so boring and you sound like an Woolwich fan, just stop.
The only thing to take note in your post is that we won and that's all that matters, who gives a toss?? Would you rather we lost and played like PSG, I wouldn't and I doubt many people would either.
We did defend well yes. I'd take issue with "zero creativity" at our disposal though. Really? We had Bentancur, Son, Odobert, Porro, VdV, Sarr, Moore. Not exactly Zidanes any of them, but again, it's whether the manager has coached them well and set them up well. For someone who is a self-proclaimed data geek, this is a hilariously bad analysis of cherry-picked stats.
We went 1 up in a first half that was pretty even—with both sides having 10 minutes or so of back-and-forth offensive possession. We scored and came out in the second half to defend as we had zero real pace or creativity at our disposal, and our best players were all defensive-minded.
Look at the DEFENSIVE stats to get a picture of how we played to defend our 1-goal lead to get an idea of how well we played -

That's just stupid. The question is whether we'd have been more likely to win if we'd played like PSG and the answer is yes.
Pulling the wool over your own eyes by pretending that we played well in the final is not helpful. We played with our backs against the wall, and it worked out. Great - but most of the time it doesn't.
If we're getting rid of Ange, I want levels above.
Some of the names being mentioned are incredibly underwhelming.
There's greater context around it than just comparing the two matches, Klopp already had so much credit with the Liverpool board/supporters, they weren't coming off of a league season where they finished 17th, the didn't look poorly coached and barely able to do the basics of football in nigh on every game, and they weren't playing a side as dismal as Man Utd.liverpool won the CL final against us with 39% possession
