Would you consider yourself a Spurs fan, or a glory supporter?

Because if you don't care about what you (presumably) watch from us every week, as long as you get to crow about winning a trophy, it doesn't really seem like you care about Spurs that much.

Would you chop your cock off if you were told that one night in May you'd get to have a wild night with the superstar of your choosing? Whether or not you get your cock back afterwards is unclear BTW?

Would you choose to eat only 10 meals from August this year to May next year on the understanding that you'd get the best meal ever on one special day at the end of it? Again, any subsequent meals, or not, following that are undetermined.

Not wanting to trade an extended period of miserable, for one night of joy, isn't nearly as ludicrous to me as you make out.

Hypothetically, what does us winning CL mean to you, if Spurs ate undeniably shit, you know Spurs are shit, the whole world knows Spurs are shit, and watching us play is a shit experience?

I would take finishing 17th if it meant winning a Champion's League, yes. :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

*Rolls eyes*

Yeah THAT is what I was saying.

You were talking about carrying momentum & joy in to the super league as if we've seen any evidence of any momentum outside of a single cup competition. I can tell you right now none of the players happiness will mean shit against PSG.
I'd be amazed if we gave psg a go - they are superb. Nobody is gonna give that lot a doin.

Ange has the backing of the dressing room. The league results are as much a recruitment and sports science issue as they are Angeball. You just don't want to contemplate nuance. You want to blame one person and fire him. It's obscene after what he has delivered.

If we add useful experience to our ranks we will be very formidable under Ange.

Ange has taken a Spurs team that lost its best player, invested in youth, and discovered its remaining superstar was over the hill.

How long will the "he won us that trophy" thing work? If we resume the pose the first 10 games of the coming season, will it still make him bulletproof? Does he get the whole season because he might be able to improbably win a cup again, no matter how bad things are in the league?
I would say if poor league form continues between now and Christmas he has to go, sure.

But anything above mid table is probably as much as we can hope for with this squad. Owners need to invest if they want a return to regular champions league places

I would assume that with CL football we do more business than that.

Frank is proven to get more from less. I'm not overly sold on Silva as I think he's more wedded to the low block and we've seen how that flies with our fans .. he's just very milquetoast. I view Frank as being more a "maybe" - I'm not 100% sold on him but I like elements of what he's done at Brentford and like how he comes across.

Next season could be rough regardless as the CL is hugely distracting, like a lot more distracting than the Europa. The next manager should get leeway on the basis we're seeing progress throughout the season.

What does "leeway" look like?

this is a bit unfair I admit as I'm unfairly trying to pin you down so I should be honest about it - if we finish 10th next year and get no where in any cups, does the sacking of Postecoglou become a questionable decision.

(I chose 10th and no cups because I think 9th and no cups would be fine if we showed improvement across the year)

I dunno . I get that 22 PL losses is not acceptable however if you start a new job and the person you are replacing is sacked for winning the EL but would have been kept on if he got top 4 just means you need to prioritise finishing 4th over winning a trophy.
I think a sensible person coming in would understand that the club gave the previous manager ample time to get back on track regarding league position.

If we had finished 10th even probably 13th with around 12-14 losses and similar amount of draws he probably keeps his job mate because of winning the Europa league.

If he loses his job it's because he proved he couldn't stop losing games in the league, which is the bread and butter , you simply have to maintain a certain standard consistently. 22 losses is basically relegation form and undoubtedly not good enough.

If he didn't win the cup he would be sacked already.

I fully get it , the majority of the football was garbish, I’m just worried what it says when we sack our most successful manager if the last 20 or so years , my worry is we go back to the top 4 never winning anything.

10th would be shit. This Spurs team is better than 10th especially with the expected investment due to CL. We should be spending circa 150m.

I think we have at least a top 8 squad and with a coach who is good at getting more from less could do reasonably well.

CL hurts that a bit. With no Europe I could see a good coach getting us in the top four for a season. In a way winning the EL makes it harder on the next coach if Ange is sacked because a) you’ll have to follow that win and b) CL football is tough.

Most of those at the parade want him gone.

Getting caught up in the day is one thing.

Back to reality and what needs to be done, now.

The only incel freaks detached from reality are the ones who want to suck him off for feels whilst we get pumped week-in week-out.

The league wasn't enough, now they want to see us get gashed out in the CL.

Enjoy the cup, we all do; also, get fucking real.

He needs gone.

Join the sane majority.

I've met literally hundreds of Spurs fans in Bilbao and in the celebrations afterwards.

None of them "Ange Out" or "Ange In" or just "Don't fucking know anymore" - talk like this. think like this. Post like this. They certainly, none of them, piss on the European Trophy because "united are shit". We celebrate they were shit and we took em out without Bergvall, Madders or Kulu. It's a frame of mind thing.

Like... you are the odd one out here. just like the other weirdo's who are so obsessed with getting the manager out it takes over everything - not least the very fucking real concern that our squad is shite whoever manages it.

You are not the sane majority. We only need to read your lineups to know that :cautious:

Yeah the new format and extra games and length of CL does change things a bit.

Fingers crossed about that investment.

I haven't seen anyone who's shat on the EL trophy.

What are you rambling about??

Historically, Levy has sacked managers WAY before they've led the team to a dismal 17th (a deserved 17th, not an unlucky 17th). He's always seemed desperate to maintain a top 4 position. If he doesn't sack Postecoglou, my money's on Levy having being taken over by aliens from another planet.

Lol...

So you just want to keep being a football club that wins 2nd-rate trophies playing the proper wuss way, whilst doing awful in the league and FA Cup?

That's one of many similar posts in the last 15 pages from the usual suspects. there's even one guy who is so disgusted at finishing 17th he shits on the idea of winning Champion's League trophies.

you people man... :roflmao:

I thought this in December last year.

Those aliens brought us a trophy. Not aliens but ANGELS 😍

(but he's gonna sack him now - which will please many but confuse a lot)
