Have we sacked the fat clown yet?
Fat? Need to get your eyes tested.

Last game of the season, less than a couple of weeks back...

Some of the players have come out in the last few days saying what a great feeling there is in the squad, how Ange is a great person and they all respect him, etc, etc.

We're being seeded for the announcement of a new contract.
Quite possibly, yes

Problem is that player support is always going to be fickle. A bad start and they could all turn. A new competent manager and they should be won over in weeks, max.

Interesting. When I think of normal, happy people whose club have just won a European trophy after 2 decades of abject failure, I don’t think of those frequenting this thread, moaning about the manager and crying about how they don’t like his personality(!) Unstable people with personal issues you say? Hate to say it, but that kind of checks out to be honest.

Let’s be real, some of you normal, happy people (lol) are in need of a wake up call. Here’s a fact supported by many, many years worth of incontrovertible evidence for you: Spurs don’t win trophies, Postecoglou wins trophies. Rather than circle jerking one another in here, your time would be better spent realising that finishing 4th or 5th and achieving absolutely nothing apart from making Levy richer year on year isn’t a worthwhile endeavour.

And here I was thinking I’d come in here and see all you normal, happy folks being normal and happy by basking in the warm glow of winning a European trophy. But no, this is some weird Stockholm Syndrome shit where legions of mini-Levys are desperate for a return to the business as usual of ‘winning’ their qualification trophies.

What was it Postecoglou said about weak foundations?

Sigh

Over 38 games against fellow Premier League clubs we were the 4th worst team in the entire league.

We lost twice as many game as we won. Dont start going on about foundations as if Ange has turned us into a team to be feared. The likes of Ipswich, Palace and Leicester fucking City came to White Hart Lane and fucking pissed all over us.

The fact is in the premier league there has been no signs of life for almost 18 months. What evidence is there that it's going to get better? We haven't been unlucky, we haven't even been fun to watch going down swinging it's been fucking abject.

Yes the trophy is probably the highest point of my Spurs supporting life. I fucking loved it. But it doesn't change the fact I don't believe Ange can or will somehow see us able to properly compete with Premier League level competition next season , and I'm afraid that I'm always going to put what is best for Spurs first.

Can you post literally one solitary shred of evidence that Poch suffered any manner of injury crisis in his first season at Spurs? Because I've checked and I'm pretty sure you can't.

Solid uno reverse trying to call me a liar, for calling out your....lies...

It's just blind faith.

We don't have the players or ownership to win the PL or the CL any time soon. I think we can agree on that.

So we're down to the domestic cups, and he's done absolutely nothing to suggest he can out manage any of the top 6-8 clubs in England in crunch matches.
That's the truly funny bit about this entire debate.

A lot of the Inners believe that Ange will raise the quality and standard of the club from where it has been.

A lot of us outers believe that Ange himself is not up to the quality and standard required to do that.

Both sides are sorta coming from the same place. Wanting the club to do better.

Does that 4-0 really balance out the rest of the shit we've watched in the league?
The statement you made was "there have been no signs of life for 18 months".

That isn't true.

What *IS* true is that we haven't maintained consistent player fitness or consistent form for any real length of time at any point. I liked the analogy someone made the other day to a kid playing FIFA just holding down the turbo button 100% of the time. That's how Ange has managed the club. When he's got turbo power available to burn there have been moments, but only ever moments.

Can he be more judicious in the future? Can Angeball even function with a more patient mindset? For me he's earned the right to at least be heard out on those questions. But if the answers aren't good, then we've got to go get somebody who can sustain a campaign on multiple fronts, because those fronts are massively daunting starting immediately next season.

Ok but he's had two full seasons to try that, why is his third going to be different?

What I'm getting it at here is I don't want him replaced out of any malice or ill feeling towards the bloke, I just deep down genuinely don't believe he is willing or able based on the evidence so far.
