I don't believe the "sell before we buy" quotes if the rumours are true and Ange is going to be honest, you can level many accusations at Levy but I don't think he has ever hired a new manager with the brief that they will have to sell before we make purchases in the transfer window. It is a fact in a sense that we have to sell before we buy due to limited squad spaces for Europe, but I don't think the club seriously expects to recoup as much as it spends this window and there is sufficient evidence to suggest that we will probably spend around £80-100m net as we have done the last few summers.I don't want to see us waste a whole summer either, but since Levy is putting out the "we have to sell to buy" messages right on schedule maybe it doesn't matter either way.
