The issue is some fans clearly hate Ange on a personal level and have zero respect for him. I find that behavior strange.
I agree. I don’t understand the personal abuse.

Maybe it’s born out of frustration. Who knows! 🤷🏻

I didn’t appreciate the ear cupping and some of his changing narrative to deflect from truly woeful performances, but that will hopefully be long forgotten once he’s gone and we’ll just remember the cup win.

I don't think that is what is being said. It is perfectly reasonable to want Ange gone. In fact I actually would be relieved if I hear he gets sacked today! I'm 50/50 on it and really just want a decision made ASAP. I'll support whoever is our manager next season.

The guy got 5th in the hardest league in the world with no Kane in his first season. Second league season was poor, but with caveats and a European trophy. I believe he REALLY wants this job, and its not the money as he'll make more by being sacked.

Agree that some fans/posters seem to hate Postecoglou, which makes no sense.

But to me, those fans who find a way to bypass 22 defeats in a 38 game season are just as baffling.

In other words I don't think it matters, and it's either you want to see a change, are happy to stick or think we should give Postecogloʻu until whenever.

I have not changed one iota but I think a lot of people have, because of Bilbao.

Another analogy is the guy who buys his partner the best gift possible on Valentine's Day but is otherwise neglectful for much of the rest of the time. Do woman want that kind of man? Clearly some do.

Its so obvious! You think Ange even knew who Odobert was? Ange was watching French u21 games all summer was he and catching up on Burnley highlights? The club told him we can't get Neto and here is the cheap young alternative!
So he lied about personally identifying him then? What about Johnson, was he a cheap alternative? Whether you like it or not Ange was going around making personal phonecalls in to the likes of Madds, Werner, Tel and Danso putting this squad together, it's his job to do due dilligence on players coming in and whether he can make them fit his system or not, why did he not take one look at how Dragusin was deployed for Genoa and realise immediately he would get shafted in a high line? If he thought the £35m we spent on Gray should be going on a senior RB or CB why didn't he pipe up and say so? There's no chance the club has overseen a record transfer spend under one manager with zero involvement from the man himself. The guy is chancing it when it comes to building a successful team at this level.

Bringing up "they got Sancho" just perfectly accentuates my point. What did he do this season? Fuck all. Neto was ok, nothing more. Cole Palmer is their best player by far and he cost them £24m and was 21 when signed, hardly a seasoned pro with extensive gametime. Pretty similar bracket to Odobert really. Ditto Madueke who is also up there in their squad now.

Chelsea didn't do a lot in the window this season, almost the same squad finished a place below us last season, we spent plenty in the summer and more on one player (Solanke) than they did. People bring up the "teenagers" thing like Bergvall hasn't been about our only good player in the last 5 months in the league, the simple fact is Chelsea continued developing players and got better as a unit from last season, we massively regressed in every department including performances, injuries and individual development, many of our players are putting in worse performances now than they ever have done in their Tottenham career.
Just compare the wages of both clubs man. You looking at this from the wrong angle with the transfer fees.

Your logic has Sancho down as a free transfer and Odobert down as 25m. Sancho gets paid more than 300k more than Odobert every week!

Please don't compare us to Chelsea. Its just wrong on so many levels. If you like what they are doing and respect them then I find that odd. They are a joke. Waist more money than anyone and just throw shit at the wall until something sticks. Don't fall for their little rebuild story. They've spunked over a billion on that squad and are selling hotels to get around PSR. Never justify them rats on here again!

Has anybody posting here, at any time, said that our league performance this season was acceptable? I have seen posters advance reasons why they think it was so bad. That is not the same thing at all as them being able to ‘find a way to bypass 22 defeats…’.

They may, or may not, be wrong in the reasons they have advanced, but none of them, as far as I have seen, have said the league outcome was acceptable. Quite the opposite, in fact.

They had that same wage bill last season when we finished above them, it was no impediment to us then. United's payroll is higher than Chelsea's and we've battered them 4 times this season as Ange fans are keen to point out.
Transfer expenditure and wage bill are certainly factors of success, I'm not going to be facetious and argue that point. Being well run and well managed is far more important in my view, all the money in the world can't buy you success if you have incompetent people in charge.

Your point?

Ange has been very candid about this.

He works with the club's recruitment setup to identify the general needs of the squad, the backroom staff does the scouting and identifies potential deals, and Ange then wants to personally discuss with the player to make sure there's alignment on what the player's goals are, and he needs to personally approve every move.

He discussed Gray specifically, saying that he considered that a more senior player might help the team more, but he didn't want to be "sitting in a rocking chair someday saying he could have signed Archie Gray".

Werner was another one, that it wasn't a deal he pushed for or had on his radar, but the club brought it to him as a possibility and he thought it was an exciting idea.

They aren't winning every move, but this is a much healthier process than we've heard about under previous managers.

Yeah so my point there would be Man United and Chelsea should be finishing above us every season. We don't invest enough into our squad. We don't sign any elite players on top wages.

Obviously coming 17th is a disgrace and a complete underachievement but he did win the Europa League so for me that balances out to be an acceptable season. We came 5th the season before which was also an acceptable season. I just am not convinced a new manager is going to get tonnes of improvement out of us.

We pay the same wages as clubs like west ham and fulham! We are constantly trying to punch above our weight under this ownership. Maybe it is time for Ange to go. As I've already said I'm neutral on it. But the manager is not the problem at this club. Never was and never will be. We've much bigger issues!

Alex Crook:”Frank’s got quite a hefty compensation clause in his contract a costly decision that Daniel Levy would have to make and we all know he doesn’t particularly like spending money”

Seriously Crook, fuck off and keep fucking off until you reach the sign that reads fuck off some more…when you gonna start calling him Fagin you cunt? Levy spends fucking plenty but spends it poorly. Absolute cunt stain
