The players loved him so much yet they lost 22 times under him in the league and phoned it on for large parts of the season. They took something like 70 points from 60 odd games. Haha. They have some nerve.

Just shows why you should never listen to footballers.

You never let the team tell you who their manager should be. They will always choose the bloke who will let them dial it in, be their mate but who they won’t really have to perform consistently for let alone excel. And I wonder what the players are actually on about when 90% of them delivered such woeful performances under him.

Anyone with two eyes could see Ange was a failure. We’ve been an abomination this season, and all the handwringing now from some fans pretending like we’ve just sacked Bill Nic. Laughable. Embarrassing.

This is a bloke who dragged the team through the mud to 17th with a record breaking amount of losses and lowest points tally in the PL era.

We had to see us routinely roll over against pretty much every side in the league. His tactics were pathetic and clueless.

He was a van der ven goal line clearance away from being the worst manager in Spurs history. For me he still is. He’s just lucky that he won a trophy against some shite sides we were lucky to draw. We shit housed our way to it. But it wasn’t anything other than that. The trophy was in complete isolation to everything else that happened under his management.

And if that wasn’t all, the way he gaslighted the fans, lied to us, made every excuse about his failings, basically would completely contradict himself just to save face and make him look like he’s amazing and none of it is his fault.

Ange is all about himself. And I question why some fans are so bewitched by him, when to me it was quite clear the disdain he had for the fans. Numerous examples of it, like ear cupping the fans, all the runs in with supporters.

I’m sure in his personal life he’s a nice bloke, and he did have his moments which I warmed to him. And maybe in time I’ll like him again now he’s not Spurs manager. But he really was the worst manager I’ve seen In 40+ years being a fan and the fact he won a trophy just shows how unpredictable and random football is. For me he’s right down there with Gross.

I’m so fucking happy he’s gone. I’m really excited about the new season now with CL football and hopefully a manager who actually has a clue. Bring it on.

We did it, we finally got what we wanted. Fair play to the club for absolutely seeing the reality of the situation and acting on it.

You mean winning a European trophy after 41 years?

A trophy is great, but I want to see my team consistently performing in the league too, it’s the bread and butter. Being a solid hard to beat side, winning and performing consistently, challenging for the top 4. Tactically outsmarting opponents, not being battered by Everton Leicester and Ipswich. Let alone Chelsea and Woolwich routinely.

What you don’t seem to grasp is it doesn’t have to be a trophy or top 6. Fuck, even if Ange had finished 10th or 12th and won the trophy he’d have kept his job for another season. But record losses and lowest points tally? He had to go.

It’s really not hard to understand that winning the Europa league does not give you a divine right to stay on as manager when you’ve been so awful in the league.

Could you imagine Woolwich or Chelsea keeping a manager who finishes 17th in the Premier League? Of course you can’t. They’d be sacked immediately. Why are we any different?

So, no trophies?
But competence?
What a thrilling thought!
And this is the problem with the Spurs fan mentality. Lets get Xavi, he'll win us trophies because he's done it at Barca.
Then after 2 seasons when he hasn't, the fans turn on him (because he should have by now), Levy sacks him,and this whole merry-go-round begins again. It's been this way for too long at Spurs.

Until real progress has been made with playing staff, and background staff, we'll never challenge for major honours. We could possibly make the grade with a Carabao cup or FA Cup, like Palace did.
However significant improvements need to be made across the board, not just getting Klopp in and we'll be world beaters.

How's that going to happen when ENIC aren't really in it to win but make sustainable profit
