But they didn't win it ....

No, Oliver Glasner did. And it was considered such an incredible, prestigious trophy that he got the Crystal Palace job.

Look, I’m glad we won it & all but the EL is a major trophy if you are Frankfurt and Sevilla. Spurs trophy wise are poor, but financially we absolute dwarf these & for years CL was a given, so you’ll excuse me if I don’t join in this collective pretending the EL is MASSIVE and that Bodo Glimt are brilliant.

But we've only made one CL final.

That's the disconnect we have as a big club-having the money but not wanting to spend it ( or spending it badly) to win a Champions league, or anything really.

Postecoglou recently literally said we don't pay wages like a big club. Nothing new to the fans about that, he just had the platform to say it that we don't.

Right now Europa League is our level..when we're not fighting to not get relegated, that is. Sad but true.

Mate, have you watched Courtois? He saves Real's arse multiple times a game with worldies, every week. Same with Donnarumma.

Could we have been tighter at the back to protect the keeper? Well, there are stats that say that we were when we had a small run of a fit back five.. but with Austen, Forster, young Gray, Davies, Royale not so much

What it showed then as it does now is how shallow the squad depth is once we go past our best eleven. Its relegation shallow.
My point on the topic has been regarding the first 10 matches. As far as I recall the defence wasn't plagued with injuries at that time.

I don't expect people to agree with me, I don't really care if they don't, I'm stating what I recall, and I even recall stating at the time that Vicario was making amazing saves to secure those wins.

That's it, if you take a look at Vicario's form this season and last season for example there's been a huge drop off, if he'd have played this season like he did in those first 10 matches when Postecoglou was manager, we wouldn't be in a relegation battle now, in my opinion.

I don't think it has anything to do with which defenders are fit to play, he either makes those point blank saves or he doesn't.

Emery got the PSG on the back off his Sevilla successes, actually he's someone you really rate...

Neither would we have finished 17th and Ange would be now in his third season (with the main character alive and well).

So he does have new job.
He has joined in with these

UEFA Technical Observers are picked for their expertise and experience of coaching and their detailed understanding of the game (UEFA site).

Fair enough.
Just with people saying out of work etc, just showing he isn’t

Tim Sherwood has worked for Sky as a pundit since he stopped being a manager - when talking about him as a manager, you'd still say he's been out of work.

Solksjaer is on that board - they just watch a game with a bunch of analysts and give their opinion

I was told Ange ball couldn't work.

No difference between Flick ball and Ange ball apart from Flick having top technicians to pull it off, the way they absolutely destroyed and embarrassed Newcastle was impressive.

Flick wouldn't be able to coach the likes of Johnson and Bissouma slick one touch high intensity football but he has Yamal and Pedri instead, STARK DIFFERENCE.

Give Ange the tools and the players he needs and he would cook.
