Just a useless hypothetical reallyI guess the way to look at it would be to question why we think we'd have done any better than 17th if the same permutations applied (same transfers, lots of injuries and no Son).

I do let them, trust me, I do.
Only in your 'wee' mindI'd rather remember those time when we won trophies but weren't also a total clusterfuck of a club. The Europa Trophy is forever tainted by everything else that happened in the surrounding months (probably years).
For me, that shows how absolutely normalised and unphased the squad were towards being the lowest non-relegated side and losing almost every week in the league
Yes some supporter you are-My chickens aren't coming home to roost. I wanted Ange to succeed, just like you did. In fact, initially I was excited, just like you were.
Sadly, he didn't succeed. In fact, his second season was appalling, apart from the fact that we won the Europa League. His aura of negativity took the club to a very, very low point, from which it hasn't recovered. I know it's not entirely down to him - the club owners and players have a lot to answer for too, but as the manager he was the inert, sullen, miserable figurehead on the prow of SS Tottenham as it sank inexorably to the depths it's currently resting at - teetering precariously on the brink of an underwater abyss from which it will be hard to recover if we topple over.
I look back objectively at Postecoglou's 2 years and see them for what they were - a dismal mess with a trophy.
That's one of those things where it looks like you can see the point when it is abstract.
Harry Kane made a dig at us when he moved to Bayern by saying:
“We wanted to win at Spurs... but if you went a couple of games without winning it wasn’t a disaster. At Bayern you HAVE to win every game”.
Now, fuck me - we have players scratching their heads at why Postecoglou would get sacked for finished 17th and losing 22 games in one league season, and fans are wondering why we're now seeing that as the norm.
Mate, I've gone to many of the home games this season, so I'm an ACTUAL supporter, not just an online fan. A half empty glass would be wonderful at this point in time.Yes some supporter you are-
With you the glass is obviously half empty and that is a bit sad!

Less about Postecoglou because this thread is just sh!t going round picking up more sh!t, but on the comment about effectively seeing losing as normal.
You see I don't think that's thr case at all, although perceiving us winning games has been so difficult.
I think there's collective shock at this season. Bewilderment in truth. This group of players, even with the injury list as it is has no right to have failed to win this year, and to be 4th from bottom. Fcuk me that's criminal.
I'm sick of this fcuking thread amd sick of sny idiot who still believes Postecoglou deliberately lost games. He simply failed to show he has the ability to manage effectively in the PL. Period.
And Kane's comment wasn't a dig but an obvious observation. He plays in a Farmer's league and for the one huge club in the Bundesliga. The difference and rightly so between Bayern in the Bundesliga and us in the PL after successive losses is rightly disaster against disappointment.
Fans. Fcuk knows whatthe players think. Sometimes I just don't believe they think at all.If losing isn't seen as normal, why would some of the players express surprise and wilderment at that league performance and not expect change?
Tying Kane's comment, even elliptically, to Postecoglou is a little disingenuous, don't you think? That's one of those things where it looks like you can see the point when it is abstract.

Indeed! That's why I made the comment. Kane played no league games for Postecoglou.Given the fact that Kane left the season Postecoglou took charge, it's not only "disingenuous" it's just basically stupid.
"Kane said that before Postecoglou Spurs had a culture that losing was okay and this proves Postycoglyou is bad because he won a European Trophy" is the wildest argument you're ever going to hear.
This is why they are Derangers![]()

And yes, it's sad. I've supported this club for 66 years, so I've earned the right to be a bit sad right now.
Your lame attempts at belittling me carry no weight. They just float by, like small white feathers.
Wrong, as usual.
