Fucking hell. The 2nd season was was one of the most horrid frustrating season ever, that literally started to make me hate football... We were lucky if could string two passes together, and this regression in footballing standards started in the first half of his first season... The signs were even evident even during the run of 10 unheated games, we're struggled to create chances and score goals... Sheff Utd for instance.

Relying heavily on individual moments, just like England at the world cup, rather than as well drilled team.

Yes, there was some great performances, Villa etc, but the performances just dropped off by the end of the first season and throwing away a CL spot.

The revisionism, is why Ange fan Bois get the shit they do. They think everyone has short memories and can't remember anything, when in reality, the two years under him, after those first 10 games, was fucking horrible...

Yes, it was great winning the cup, but fuck was I angry at the shit I was watching during the game, and the 2nd season in the league... Fuck... I hate him so much now...

I admire your energy to even argue the point. However great winning the Europa was its plain as day Ange Postecoglou can not win games at elite EPL level. Beyond the flying start he was an empty vessel making noise.

He was a failed manager who left us one spot above the drop. He had one brief moment with a notable success, in spite of him more than anything else. He's a shit tier manager as he displayed that entire year, doing less in the league even than Thomas Frank with a less bad injury crisis. He also displayed his tier during his embarrassing run at Forest... if you can call one moon phase a "run" in charge of a club. No player improved while he was here, he left the general state of the club worse than he found it. He mugged off the fans. Didn't give a toss about our rivalries or history. Until the cup final his approval rating was absolutely zero and everyone knew he was as good as sacked. Luke Shaw's arm is the only reason the Ange-only fans haven't slithered away back to Glasgow or Geelong

There's always nuance in these things. Putting Ange Postecoglu alongside Burkinshaw and Bill Nic, is frankly an insult to them both.

Yes, he won the same trophy as them, but they are legends for far more than that.

Ange isn't a legend and never will be. He's the same as Ramos, a dreadful manager who won a trophy.

Well yes Burkinshaw was at the helm when we went down but he didn't have Derangers demanding he be sacked and replaced with a midtable pair of safe hands. Or calling teenage Hoddle a cunt with no identifiable quality like Derangers have done with Gray on here.

He has potential, but I am still not really sure what he's good at. He might becomes a Rice type player which would be amazing, or he might end up like an Eric Dier or Harry Winks in midfield, let's be honest.

Let's not start getting ahead of ourselves on Gray. He's shown some glimpses the last few games, but up until then apart from the odd moment, it looked like we had our pants pulled down at 40 million.

Ange lost 22 games in a season, didn’t win a single game while he was here against Woolwich or Chelsea, but won a tournament Pochettino mostly played a B team in because we were aiming for the top honours.

Pochettino gave us years of dominance over Woolwich and joyful football, the first win at the bridge in forever, that night in Ajax and the biggest final by far in club football as well as an 86 point league season. We were mixing it with the elite.

It’s a dumb comparison and it makes you look stupid. Pochettino has a far bigger legacy at the club which is why many, many more fans beg for him back than the about 5 on here who want Ange.

Literally equivalent to acting like the kid who wins something for the B team is better than the kid who nearly wins with the A team. Brainlet.
