Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Tony Pulis style tactics of relying solely on crosses and set plays. Simply embarrassing football.

His use and predictability of the subs is verging on comedy now.

£15m a year you say? :harrylol:

I agree with most of this, but:

Why should Conte out = Paratici out? .....They're not intrinsically linked.

Why should Conte out = no more Serie A managers? .....There's no correlation between Conte and the rest of them being shite.
Paratici tried to hire Gattuso and did hire Nuno. I'm afraid if Conte leaves Spurs will not look outside the managers who Paratici has connections with (or with their agents). That would put us back to the Italian style of play as opposed to being open to styles of play that are not typical of Serie A. I doubt Paratici would have considered managers like Tuchel, Rodgers, or Potter. I expressed it poorly, but my point is that if Conte leaves Spurs would be limiting themselves in choice of manager. I'd like it if Conte stayed, but if he left I shudder to think of what the man who hired Nuno would come up with as a replacement.

The squad, depth, everything is dramatically better than when he got here. The football is getting worse.

This is it for me. I have no misconceptions about this team and we still have a number of areas that need improvement, but everything has been regressing for months now. The players, the tactics, and the decision making have progressively gotten worse and there is no chance of a plan B as he is too damn stubborn.

It's looking like the end is nigh. If we dont get through the tie and lose a couple more in the prem I think that's it.

Levy will roll the dice on a new manager bounce to get us in the top 4.

This season it actually looks relatively straightforward to catch an overrated Newcastle team so I don't think Levy lets the chance slip.

Looked v good in the first half. Difficult to be too harsh on him since he must lack match fitness especially playing in a 2 man midfield
Kid's running around putting out fires after Son, Kulu, Kane, Dier, Romero, Lenglet, Davies etc. constantly give the ball away.

Of course he's gonna have a hard time. Only player better than him was Sarr.

The players can see, better than we can, what we see: a guy whose friends have died, whose family is far away, who has had a health scare, who is running down his contract.

It's a mercy killing at this point. There's no big buy-out. Both sides can walk away with a plausible explanation.

Still got some fans saying it's not his fault, he hasn't been backed, let him build, it's been a difficult year for him, blah blah blah.

Playing football that resembles Big Sam, Pulis, Dyche, Warnock, etc. is very much his fault. It's disgusting stuff.

That’s all well and good to a point. On a personal level, I’ve lost close friends in the past year, some way before their time and I’ve had a major health scare in the past few months. I’m self employed so had to get back in the saddle straight away. I have a job with a good degree of responsibility and pressure and won’t be long in losing my livelihood if I’m not on my A game for work every day.

On £15 million a year, you just have to get on with it. He’s been dialing it in for too long now.

The squad, depth, everything is dramatically better than when he got here. The football is getting worse. If anything we should be chanting for Paratici to stay, he’s reshaped the squad. Would love to see what a progressive manager could do with this side.

Without a dramatic turnaround in both performance and results, just let Conte walk. Bloke actually wants a raise on the £15m he’s getting now. No thanks.
We were about to hire Fonseca but according to him Paratici didn't want an attacking manager like him.

We started like utter dogshit from the first whistle of the season though. He's treated Gil, Rich, Bissouma, Skipp, Sarr, Spence all like garbage from day one.

For all the pissing and moaning, Conte isn't going anywhere this season.

Levy won't sack him and he shouldn't. Conte won't quit.

The summer is a different matter but for now how about just sucking it up and riding it out. Never know, the team could fuck around and win something.
