Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's not worked out. But he did get us to 4th last season and leaves us in 4th right now. Not a total car crash, just a big disappointment because I thought we might have a guy who we can back bigtime for a couple of seasons and do what Woolwich are doing now, compete for the league.

There's a world of differences between Conte's hire and what woolwich did with lego head, and it wasn't just big time backing. They actually had a strategy what they wanted to do, whereas Conte was a reactionary, "right now" type of pick that was never a good match for the club.

I think that most people hoped that maybe Conte and a couple of impact players could put us over the top, but for me the disappointment is that even though table position is the same (at the moment) we have been regressing for weeks and right back to where we started...again.

I cant wait for this place on Monday at 19:00 when we find out Mason and Stellini stick with the tried and tested 5 at the back! :contethumb:
Cause it’s gonna be the same stellini is a conte disciple. Unless they work on change in formation during the week. Also will stellini disrespect his master by changing formation and tactics. Remember if as seems likely he will team up with cunte once his finished in the summer. Unless levy’s plan is to keep these in two on which wouldn’t surprise me.

This will ultimately go down as a massive waste of everyones time. A manager famous for short term stints, defensive football, winning trophies using defensive football and experienced pros? Lets get him in to develop young players.

Conte in effect confirming that it was a mutual decision to move on and not a 'fuck you' from either side.

Good to hear ! I suspect he'll take a few months off before taking on another role

He's gone, time to move the thread.
Time to move several emojis from 'Current Spurs', too.

...and maybe find some new ones (hardly seems worth the effort).

I thought the same....like the absolute mug I am.

When we finished 4th at the expense of Woolwich, we were flying high.......all the pundits were crying about where Woolwich can go to from here and how Spurs were on the up.

I really thought that with a motivated Kane......a top scorer Son.......Richarlison, Kulusevski, Bentancur, Romero, Perisic, Bissouma and Hugo......... All being managed by Conte, an Elite manager.

I really thought we could have been wild cards this year.

And I think we had every right to be optimistic about this season......which makes it hurt even more.

Conte is the past - fcuk him. No legacy left and nothing much to thank him for.

No more energy expended.

Hail Stellini or at least hope he holds it together.

A big chance for him but he should not be in the mix for the substantive role.
Yes been plenty of no2s step up when manager is sacked towards end of season and do well. Primarily bcos nothing to lose and they don’t have to worry about transfer. Long term planning, etc. just concentrate on the remaining games. Then come start of next season they are useless.

Not "Thanks to everyone at Spurs", just those who "appreciated and shared my passion".

Maybe I'm nitpicking and just being an asshole because I just don't like him, but even this has some of that Conte arrogance to it.
Yes I noticed that sort of implies a number of people be fans, players, board didn’t share his “passion”.
Cocky dicker exactly what was his passion to share? We played some of the most passionless football! When did he ever get us to perform a full 90 minutes. If that his idea of passion I feel sorry for his misses.

Shinehead Shambles is still here.

Nothing will change.

Will just bring in the next victim/manager to keep the con going.

18 month countdown until we're back here, again.

Keep buying those season tiks, tho, kids! haha :contethumb:
