They were saying on Radio 5 yesterday, that nobody actually wants him there. The chairman doesn't, the board don't, & the fans don't.

But as everyone else whom they had approached had turned them down, they reluctantly turned to Kompany.
 
Kompany will do well in Bundesliga I think. That league is notorious for throwing caution to the wind. Bayern will be entertaining I know that much. They will score a lot of goals. Champions league will be a different story though.

Depends if the players buy into it.

His high risk, high reward style of football works well if you have the best players in the league like Burnley did when they absolutely smashed the Championship, doesn’t work well if your squad is poor relative to the rest of the league. Bayern don’t have a bad squad compared to the rest of the German league.

Bayern Munich reportedly see Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton as the solution to their midfield conundrum and could swoop for him this summer.
The Bundesliga giants are in the market for a defensive-minded midfielder - despite the chance that Joshua Kimmich will stay after reportedly snubbing a reunion with Hansi Flick at Barcelona.
Vincent Kompany was confirmed as Bayern's new boss on Wednesday afternoon and joins a team in need of some refreshment after a disappointing season.

Bayern missed out on Wharton in January and there have already been reports that they are lining up a £60m bid for the 20-year-old. Palace bought him off Blackburn for £22.5m in January.
Now The Independent claims that Wharton has finished top of many of Bayern's analysis points in their search for a new midfielder.
 
He will struggle to last 6 months, they have an ageing fractured squad which requires a massive overhaul. His football is night and day compared to Tuchel and I see yet another trophyless season for Kane

If Palace lose Eze, Olise and Wharton in the same window they go from European qualification to relegation battle.
