Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Credit where it's due though, he was putting in blocks and tackles which have been conspicuous by their absence in previous games - and was in prime Jonno scoring position on one attack where the ball across the box to him was ballsed up.

If we accept that level of performance from our front players we’ll always be a middle of the road at best. There has to be more from our front players. Working hard is a pre requisite. We need much more.

Once in 95 minutes. There’s nothing aggressive about it. I’m done with the whole Johnson thing. Accepting this sort of mediocrity is mind boggling for me.
People think Kudus wasn’t great yesterday but everything he does is aggressive and makes the opposition uneasy.

Once in 95 minutes but from about 5 touches the whole game. That's what you need to do with your touches if you are an attacker in our team at this moment in time.

Where is this specific hate and shit flowing out from?
I mean... I am not trying to say that he was main archidect of our win (he obviously wasn't), but he did not have worst game of his. And we won the game. He tracked back a lot. He even attempted early crosses.

I am not saying he should become a starter, but he has had MUCH worse performances than last night.
Overall I would support selling him in January/next summer, cause on many games he has next to no influence, but yesterday was not that game in my books.

Bit similar with Bentancur - he had been pretty poor lately and when lineups were announced, I was pulling out my hair to see Palhinha-Bentancur midfield duo once more. But I have to admit - Bentancur had quite a good game yesterday. I don't see why we should be shitting on either of them (or on any player really) after 3:0 win.

It was a mediocre performance in isolation but he was better than usual.

He stayed on the ball longer attempting to take a man in and put the ball in the box. Usually he’d play it backwards the moment he got the ball so it’s an improvement.

Hopefully he improves his game.
